I wrap it around my arm and pull it tight with my teeth.

Lol. Left or right?

Right handed... belts starts on the left side, wallet right front pocket, cell in the left front. Watch on the left wrist. Blue tooth in the right ear!

I discovered the women’s shirt button difference one year at Halloween and was awestruck.

Funny you mention that. My left handed brother is USMC. I asked him this and he said "I don't have a choice"

cabmandone 01-16-2021 03:13 PM

And if the lefty's think about this, if you start the belt on your left and finish around on your right, you're pulling the belt tight with your right hand. Shouldn't you be pulling the belt tight with your left arm?

Oh! and every lefty wearing their watch on their left arm.... you're doing it wrong! If you're left arm dominant that means you swing hammers, turn wrenches with you left arm. That means you go through watch bands on a regular basis OR you take your watch off when you're working.

craigster59 01-16-2021 03:14 PM

I wear both a belt and suspenders. One can never be too careful.

I feed the belt with my right hand and usually miss 2 loops in the jeans.

Then I get pissed off, yank with my left hand and next thing you know, I'm bumping around the closet.

First, we don't need to know that! :D

And second, try not to drink before you put your belt on! SmileWavy

That may be TMI.

Doin my best to fill in for my boy during his absence. But Vash would have come up with a more colorful title name.

This one struck me as a vash thread when I was thinking about it. It was funny to me how I even figured out I was putting my belt on wrong.

wswartzwel 01-16-2021 05:16 PM

oh, one other thing. being a lefty, when using a clip board I turn it upside down so clamp is on the bottom out of the way for writing.

Could be no one would notice. I likely would've, but that's me.

As a young Marine in the mid-seventies I thought it was it was good sport to occasionally salute the odd company grade officer with my left hand to see if they'd notice.

Of course it figures that when I finally got busted, it wasn't by the faceless shavetail I saluted on my way to chow, it was by the regimental CO, Colonel Rapp, who happened to be walking a few paces behind me. So much for my SA that day. I was fortunate that he was actually pretty darned cool about it, all things considered (I guess he could afford to be - he was God, after all) but his message was loud and clear.

I never, ever even thought about doing it again.

He mentioned something about his uniform belt having something on it that if put on the other way wouldn't show properly and would be a violation of uniform rules. I'm guessing some of the guys he's around would catch it. One of his friends is a real stickler for proper uniform. I don't recall what change the Marine Corps made to their uniform over the last few years. I just remember it being something my brother thought was insignificant. His friend was all fired up about the change. His friend would definitely be a guy to say "Hey, you've got your belt on wrong"

I thought about the conversation and I'm pretty sure it was umbrellas. The guy was pissed about umbrellas.

"Gigline" bring back any memories? "Soldier, your gigline is a mess." The alignment of the shirt buttons, belt buckle and zipper flap. The good old days. Today it's probably against somebody's rights for the drill Sargeant to mention it.

I’m the same, belt starts left, wallet and keys in right front pocket but iPhone is left pocket. I prefer to use my left hand for any one handed type use on the phone, and when I did tech support I always had my phone in my left side to answer/dial.

Which is your dominant eye? I’ve always been somewhat ambidextrous and can somewhat write with my left hand, even though I never practice. But found out when I started dove hunting I’m left eye dominant. My stepfather made me shoot right handed and that explained why I never hit anything. As an adult when I wanted to get into shooting I started shooting pistol left handed and then finally fell back to right handed but have more body twist to use my left eye. But I shot rifles left handed and that was the best thing for my accuracy. It’s fun having your gun belt with pistol mags on left side, pistol on right side followed by rifle mags all on the right side.

Should have added that I can bat and use a axe either side but prefer left handed.

Hardly ever wear one.
If going somewheres where it will be showing...I do.

cabmandone 01-18-2021 02:52 PM

I'm left eye dominant but can shoot a rifle pretty much equally left or right handed. I'd guess the scope probably helps with that. With my pistol I shoot left handed. Compound bow also left handed.

Jim Bremner 01-18-2021 03:21 PM

With having a CCW train yourself to carry your spare mag, keys, wallet etc. On your support side

If you ever get a person trying to rob you and demanding your wallet why would you want your hand to be occupied with getting your wallet. Thats your support hands job to distract

If your primary hand is getting keys out or your cel out you might also expose your ccw

I'm right handed, belt starts on the left. What is carried in pocket is left front.

Walking anywhere carrying a box etc. Right arm is free

cabmandone 01-19-2021 03:35 AM

Never thought of all that Jim! I'm already there. Wallet, keys, phone.. already go in my right pocket. Maybe it's good to be a "bad" lefty!

masraum 01-19-2021 04:10 AM

Belt starts on the left. Wallet on right. Keys and phone left and watch left.
Right handed
