How do you put your belt on?

I recently learned I'm not a good lefty at all. When I put my belt on, I start on the left and work around to my right. What brought on the revelation that I'm doing it wrong? I got my concealed carry and was putting my holster on. I shoot left handed so naturally the holster goes on the left. I had to take my belt off to put my holster on. As a lefty I should be starting on my right and working around to my left.

I'm working on the way I put my belt on to accommodate my OWB holster, starting on the right finishing on the left. It's like a totally foreign thing to me. It's funny how awkward it feels.

My dad is a lefty so I asked him this question. He does it the way I'm not trying to train myself to do it. He asked me which pocket I put my wallet in? Which way I part my hair and which arm I wear a watch on. Answers: Right, Right, don't wear one

Turns out based on this I'm not a lefty at all :(

So which way around do you go? And are you left handed or right?

Left Handed. Belt goes in left side first. wallet in left rear pocket, watch on left hand.
I am abidexterous though. writing with a pen, batting and pitching are left handed, evrything else like hammering, shooting a bow or a gun, basketball, right handed.

Watch is always on left hand.

Left handed - dominant. Belt threaded left, my wallet is always in my right pocket and I don't wear a watch. I have a holster for my iphone and that is on my right side.

It is a right handed world and lefties always adjust to that. Driving on the left side and flushing lever on a toilet (the handle is mostly on the left) are the only items that are left handed friendly.

I’m right handed. I put mine on starting on the right side by my hip and thread it around the back to my left side and across the front. The buckle ends up offset over my right pocket.

Right handed but I put belt on into left hip. I just use dominant hand to start threading it in.

I put my belt on starting on the left, part my hair to the right, wallet goes in the back right pocket, watch on the left.

Most of the time none of that matters. My pants fit, my wallet is either in the house, console or hand, I don't wear a watch anymore, and my hair will do whatever it wants when blown by the wind.

Right hand dominate.

I'm right handed but I start my belt on the left.

Did you know button up shirts for men and women have the buttons on different sides: Women the buttons are on the left, men on the right. No idea why.

Try starting on the right in the Marine Corps and see how that goes.

...and British outerwear (Barbour jackets) have the zipper the “wrong way” because apparently, when hunting at the club - your servant tended to zip your coat up for you. Difficult for him to do so if the zipper pull is on your right.
I tried a couple of those on because I thought I would like one - but just cannot get over the difficulty to zip the darned thing up.

For the same reason - women’s shirts are buttoned from the left so that your hand maid (or whatever you called your servant) could dress you more easily.

The world is really a messed up place.

I read once it goes back to battles and jousting to help deflect the joust.

I surely thought this was a Vash thread.

I am right handed so my watch is on my left wrist. My belt is started on the left too,but my wallet has been riding in my jacket since my doctor pointed out it was causing back pain in my hip pocket.

Best

What I can share - in the very old days when hired servants helped dress the women, the help buttoned up the garments. If you are facing a persons, the buttons are on the correct side.

stubborn I was..
as some of my teacher's....
all but broke my left hand...
Sister's of Hades flashing their bamboo rods like lightsaber's..
or Herr Leitzinger with his twist of my earlobe out of nowhere..
I was amazed when I saw a L-handed desk in HS..

Belt left side first, wallet left rear, watch right wrist. Scissors right handed, golf right handed, batting ambidextrous. Most everything else is left hand dominant or ambidextrous.

Cliff Claven here...comes from days of old, when the ladies of the manor had handmaidens who dressed them. Made it easier for the usually right handed handmaidens.

I was blessed with snow gear one year. Pants zipped on the wrong side. Luckily, I only made yellow snow. Nowadays it would be a lemon snow cone with chocolate on top.

No belt. Like to bust a sag.
