Login Problem

This problem may be on my end or on Pelican's, so I thought I would turn to the brain trust here for some input and suggestions. On various other websites, I don't need to log in. Their system recognizes me. When I post comments, or click on threads or navigate their forums, their system quickly responds.

On Pelican, I have to type my Username and Password each time. Further, the Pelican system kicks me off after a few minutes of inactivity, and we have to start over. Also, about half the time I try to navigate, or open a thread, or post in a thread, there is a long clock, sometimes resulting in some BS "cannot open this webpage" stuff, or something to that effect.

Yes, when I enter my username and password, I click the box that says "Remember Me." This appears to be a Pelican function, to me. That is....Pelican is asking whether I want it to remember me. Clicking that box is useless. This problem has been going on for a couple of weeks. I have entered my username and password, and clicked the Remember Me box, over a hundred times.

What am I doing wrong?

Have you tried to reboot?

Or clear your cache?

If I just "Restart" my computer, then will it do those things? I am using a MacBook Air.

Okay, I am a dummy. But you guys knew that already. I restarted my computer, and now Pelican remembers me. It is so nice to be acknowledged.

Pelican remembers me, but only when I click on the name box. It then directs me to the list of forums, not the page I selected.

There is a bug in their code, it used to log me in, and take me directly to PPOT.

I frequent four diff forums...PP is the only one that will randomly not allow me to view 'last page'
I discovered that 'delete browsing data' will then allow the last few pages to be accessed.
It used to only happen every other day or so..now it sometimes happens every 15 minutes.

It seems to do it more when I am on the site...but not using it for 10 minutes or so.

I have the same issue on my desktop. If I'm idle for more than 15mins, Pelican logs me off and I have to sign on again. . That doesn't happen on my phone. I stay logged on forever.

It only happens with this site. No others.
