What's the going rate for 9mm?

Looking to offload a few cases of 9mm wolf steel case. What is the current going rate?

If you're lucky, if you're not, then $1/rd.

Racerbvd 01-19-2021 04:07 PM

Yup. I can still find it locally for that with a little looking. I’ve seen it up to $1/round which is just stupid.

I've been patient and picking up 9mm at $11/50 for brass case. The market is nuts so you'll find someone willing to pay $1/round. I was talking to a guy the other day that paid $40 for 50 rounds of fmj. If you have an abundance, now is DEFINITELY the time to cash in. If you have small pistol primers as well, you should be able to retire, buy a vacation house and a trophy wife and still have money to burn.

onewhippedpuppy 01-20-2021 03:55 AM

Well if you cash out, it had better be with the expectation that you may not be able to buy ammo at reasonable prices again, or at least not for quite some time.

cabmandone 01-20-2021 04:03 AM

This might help set the market for ya. In stock according to the site

But steel case is once and done and I've yet to meet someone at my range that is a fan of steel casing. Doesn't the polymer coat foul the barrel?

Por_sha911 01-20-2021 05:32 AM

Lets see, pew, pew, pew
I'm thinking 3 shots on target in 2 or 3 seconds.

Around here, anywhere from $18-40 for a box of 50 target brass. Some LGS don't sell 9 mm - THEY HOLD IT HOSTAGE.
Anything under $23 is gone as soon as it hits the shelves.

Don't know why the coating on the casing would foul the barrel. It's not like it's going through the barrel too.

This cash out is just the boxed stuff that I haven't gotten around to pickling (O2 absorbers & silica packets) loose in 50 cal cans. :D I have more than enough to last.

cabmandone 01-20-2021 05:39 AM

What made ya buy the steelies? Were they a lot cheaper than brass at the time?

I would rather not go full capitalism on a fellow pelican.

I've had a few locals offer me 40 cents a round. I have the 22lr and 9mm listed on armslist. I'm in the white mountains area so it's a drive either way to unload this cash out.

I usually shoot steel for plinking. After walmart stopped selling 9mm, steel has been my go to. Cost of a barrel and feed ramp over brass in the long run.
