Do i need a lift kit?

I got snuffed at a bluff I normally make with ease.
2 inch lift looks like a simple bolt on with not many negatives.

I think a 2 inch lift, bigger tires, and a Unimog to haul it around with should get you over that bluff...

A unimog! That's a slippery slope.

I am thinking of lug ag tires if i go with a lift. My street driving is maybe a few miles of paved road at the most. This little guy has been tearing up the forest roads since it got off the boat!

The proper question:
Do you need larger diameter tires?
Do larger tires require a lift kit for adequate clearance and articulation?

Lift by itself does nothing. It's purpose is to allow larger tires that easily roll over obstacles

I was considering side by side. The enclosed cab, heat, and 4x4 sold me

I love that truck. Nice to see it's seeing some action.

But I think realise it's limitations and enjoy it as a fair weather machine.

How are you getting on with the RHD?

The RHD isn't that bad because of how small the truck is. The switches/turn signal is flipped vs what I am used to, especially the shifting with my left hand.

I bought the little truck to run around my property and go to town with instead of firing up a big diesel. It's been very reliable; single digit temps it starts right up as well.
I'll import another one when the fuel injected models hit 25 years old. I'll get a cruiser with AC, and keep this one for the hard work.

That is just too extra...

The 4wd in these trucks is nuts. Wranglers doing jeep trials couldn't keep up. Have a friend that I'll cut fire wood with, and he brings his side by side. Pretty much equal. except his is all plastic, and no cab with heat.

Polaris 1000 has cab and heat. Those mini trucks probably have a real transmission though rather than the "CVT" centrifugal clutch and torque converter.

All you guys posting about the unimogs. They look really good,
but I went with a m1038 hmmwv instead of a unimog.

What tire profile are you running? How about chains?

It has been so wet here my tractor with regular tires gets bogged down. I get out because it has a front end loader on it and I can walk it out forward or backward, which is actually fun!

I do love your ride!

He's a reseller/importer. I decided to import myself and save roughly 50-75% over what those specialized dealers charge. I only paid 2800 for it with 28,000 km.

Thanks!
They're skinny. 145r12. Have been thinking of bias ply 5.30x12 with chains, or 6-12 ag tires and a small lift.

Getting a tractor stuck is fun. I've high centered the kubota l2350 plowing a field. That's why you need 2 tractors.
