Help me pick a wheel

Well, the Michelin Pilot Sports TS4 that I put on this car a few hundred mikes ago have absolutely transformed this little Audi. The mediocre handling , wheel spun at start, poor cornering, and lack of any steering feel that I thought was just a characteristic of a FWD car was actually all due to the POS OEM all season whatever
Turns out, it’s really well balanced, and handles off ramps like a real car.

So, as a reward, I’m treating us to new wheels.
I am down to two
I am usually decisive, but this one is kicking my ass, to the point that I am considering one set on the right and another in the left...so I have both 😁
Anyway..weigh in

Of the two, I've never liked 6 and 7 spoke designs with the exception of Volk TE37s. So of those two I would choose the 5 spoke.

But to my eye, the high beltline and generally chunky (in a good way) nature of the wagon, I would go for a wheel in kind. Something "heavier looking" with singular thick spokes.

I think the one on the left. Also (as yer know) a wheel alignment check and adjust can be a nice handling improvement.

I agree with Shaun. Not a fan of busy spokes. But if I had to choose, I’d pick the one on the left.

I like the one on the right better as it closes off the caliper/rotor cavity better.

What about a set of OEM wheels from eBay?

As someone who is OCD I always consider cleaning. The wheels on the right look easier to clean between the split spokes, of the two I’d probably go that way. Any weight difference? I always try to go as lightweight as possible.

The one on the left is my preference, mostly.
I’m just not sure about the darker gunmetal , but I ‘m thinking it’s a more contemporary look.

I think singular thick spokes are what I’m replacing..
I don’t hate them. Audi knows what they are doing, usually

+1. I think it will go well with the color scheme of the car.

In another post you said you weren't sure about the gunmetal. I think it will look nice with the dark grille and what looks like the chrome trim around the grille. You might even go with black in that wheel if it's offered.

Get one pair of 5s for the left and a pair of 7s for the right. Decide which you like best and put those on the driver side.

You joke, but that was a consideration, mid bowl...I still laugh at the thought

It would be like having 2 cars, depending on which way I parked it

Nope...
I don’t disagree
I’m holding on to the OEM, just in case

My thought is to just spray the 5 spike silver if I don’t like the gunmetal.

Agreed.
I put new brakes and calipers on when I did the Pilot sports, and had it checked out then

IF you can't pick a wheel on your own preference
THEN you should probably stick to whatever the car came with cause quite frankly that's the right wheel for you
