Knew a jock during the top 40 days who told me he got "proposition" calls frequently. So, maybe an element of truth in that funny Larry King story.

Does anyone remember Larry King from his radio days, before the TV show? I stumbled upon him back in the early ‘80s on radio, he was a different guy then. He became sort of a nice guy on TV, when he had his call in radio show, he would rip people to ribbons if he didn’t respect what they were saying or their knowledge.

I actually liked both versions of him. He was a devastatingly smart guy and he toned that waaay down for the TV show but he was much nicer. He had sports knowledge that was unbelievable, especially baseball. An absolute walking encyclopedia. If someone called in and wanted to talk smack about some player but wasn’t on his level, he’d cut them off at the knees.

I have a good friend who worked for him as a producer for a long time, I always wanted to meet him but never got the chance. He had an interesting life. RIP.

When I heard that he went in the hospital w Covid, I didn’t like his chances. He had already used up about 8 lives.

I met him by chance walking out a hotel in LA
I leave folks alone, but he looked at and engaged me...not for long, but he was nice and friendly, for no other reason than that is who he is

Not COVID.
Since Biden's election the CODID blame can be tamped down...

He beat that, per this report.

It was the more common sepsis...
