Yep. 99% of crab sticks purchased at a store or included in sushi (like "California rolls") is not crab. I think it's mostly white-fish and wheat flour, IIRC.

AKA "Crabolene"

stevej37 01-29-2021 12:17 PM

^^^ at least the imitation crab has some fish in it.
They're saying the tuna sandwich has no tuna or fish at all

Alleged

I used to eat that stuff 25 years ago, and it was funky back then.

varmint 01-29-2021 12:26 PM

tunaducken?

stevej37 01-29-2021 12:28 PM

I had it a couple weeks ago only because I was with friends who love that place.

Personally, I hate it....especially standing in line to have to pick all your ingredients.
Also..doesn't matter what type of meat you order...it all tastes the same.

LWJ 01-29-2021 12:29 PM

Curious. Never had one. Seems like I never will.

There's an idea. I love duck...combined with real tuna...might be good.

That's one reason I don't eat beef, fowl or seafood. That's been 35 years now. But before that I wouldn't eat anything that came in a sealed bag that was supposed to be from one of the sources listed above. I think I stopped eating bologna at about age 15. Remember Oscar Meyer's Sandwich spread?

Rat food.

lawsuit for $5 million.
I would have asked for a years free of sandwiches...lol
