Olive Garden is just food to me...we like Carrabbas Italian Grille for better entrees, and a blackberry sangria to die for.

Olive Garden isn't horrible, but I don't go unless I have to.

Carrabbas is OK. We used to like Macaroni Grill, but all of them around here shutdown which seemed weird since they were always packed. I love Italian (I love just about everything), but we almost never go to Italian restaurants.

I like the salad. Sometimes we just get a bottle of wine, salad and breadsticks.

We love Mac. Grill but they are no longer. One of the better chain restaurants.

I have to ask, why no chain German, Polish restaurants? God forbid a French chain restaurant?

La Madelaine is a chain here.

Yes, not a lot of German restaurants around. More around here than a lot of places, but still not a ton.

No idea if I've ever seen or heard of a Polish restaurant.

How about a Scottish or British restaurant? Ya don’t see any chain restaurants serving haggis.

I think that the British / Scottish type pub restaurants have had some success. They do not seem to last long however. If they served Haggis, neaps, and tatties...they probably would have only lasted a day (JK)

We have a couple Polish restaurant around here, but they are nothing to write home about, maybe I have no idea what I was ordering.

We do have a small chain of Peruvian restaurants, El Pollo Inca. Dang good food.

A friend of mine did a three year tour in Italy with the Navy. They lived off base away from the city.

He loves to cook and took a number of cooking classes while he was there. He said the food is remarkable in simplicity and fresh ingredients. He also said that the Olive Oil we get here isn't.

I have benefited greatly

I was baby sat by an Italian lady...who started making her gravy early in the morning .
