It was about a year ago.
I saw my last live music. The Rev. Horton Heat and few days later The Delta Bombers. Dammit I miss live music in small clubs.

Is this type of entertainment currently forbidden in your area, Mike?

Same here. Last live show my wife and I saw was Big Head Todd and the Monsters, last January in the Showbox in Seattle. We have started out year with their show for a very long time. I can't believe it's been over a year.

I play guitar in a rock/live karaoke band and also a jazz group.
I REALLY miss playing live gigs.

I am doing a two hour set at the Legion this Friday. Four acts rotate through monthly.
Nova Scotia's infection rate is about 1 per hundred thousand.. I'm not much, but I get to play. Any requests?Best Les

I've spent a lifetime listening to blues, rock, and hippie jam bands ... mostly in smaller clubs. No mas .... lotsa reasons though. My last show .... mebbe 18 months ago .... TOTALLY blown away standing 20' in front of Jerry Douglas and an amazing band of improvisational musicians .... tho' the two horn players were reading charts.
Jerry Douglas ... before that Susan & Derek at an outdoor venue.... saw Derek play his very first public gig ... sittin in with a local blues band in Jax years ago... he was 9 .I miss those daze

Yeah, that's been the hardest part of this quarantine thing for me. Saw David Bromberg and the Drive by Truckers last February, and that was all she wrote.

Buckethead at the Orlando HOB two years ago was my last live concert.
There are a few bands I look to see if they will be playing in my vicinity, Beth Hart, Samantha Fish, Bela Fleck and the Flecktones.

And you are correct, "Feelings" is NOT on the play list. How about "Fifty Ways To Leave Your Lover" or "Sister Golden Hair"? Best Les

I've never seen Kentucky Headhunters, though. Waiting patiently.

Yes, it has been too long.
I had tickets to the Infamous Stingdusters and it was for the day they shut music down locally. Looks like we may be getting live music back in March. Fingers crossed. |

I'm not a big consumer of music at all. But as we traveled over the years we got to see a lot of hotel bar shows, mostly in fly-over country. A lot of them were bands like in post #5. As soon as I heard the twangy guitar and popping drums I went back to my room. Just not interested.
There have been some exceptions. In Des Moines, Ia. we saw an old Polka band with an accordion player who really ripped it up - like Lawrence Welk on speed. It was so corny it was great! We saw a two piece in a hotel in Grand Rapids, Michigan on a Wednesday night about 10 years ago. I'll never forget them. They didn't even have a name. They were just a guy playing acoustic guitar and a guy on saxophones. He played a tenor and a bass. They both sang. Their repertoire ranged from the BeeGees to Percy Sledge. It was the most amazing show I'd ever seen. It was just a hotel bar and they didn't even pass the hat, but I gave them each a 20 after the show because we were just so grateful for something so different. At another hotel, again in the middle of the week when no one would be there, we saw a tango troupe. It was about 5 people and they played tango music. It was amazing, and not anything I imagined tango to be from what I've seen of the dance.

Saw George Thorogood and the Delaware Destroyers at Orlando Hard Rock last March tenth. Then the bottom fell out.
