Some people are passionate about certain things. You see a lot of University of Michigan, Michigan State, and Ohio State flags around here. Some people really like sports, some don't care. Those who don't might find a strong interest in Christmas, politics, social movements.

I'd go to a basketball or football game, but don't understand why people attend political rallies. Different strokes for different folks.

We have a playhouse for the grandkids that's still fully festooned with Christmas lights. Seems strange, but it when I see it at night it makes even this old codger feel good.

We still have the garland and white lights draped from the portico of our 260 year old farmhouse, but everything else is gone. Seems fitting with the architecture and the 10 inches of snow....and less weird in my opinion of putting up decorations in early October like a lot of folks did around here.
That said, it's coming down this weekend.

The Trump Pence signs aren't late, they are a few years too early.

Ha! We took our tree down and were about to toss it in the woods and decided to stick it in a bucket of water and leave it on the deck with all the light still on. It's still there, covered in snow.

I can even understand the trees in Feb .... Christmas is always just a few months away.

At least it's just one sign...

In my neighborhood, I take my Christmas lights down on or about New Years. Living in CA, the weather is nice and doesn't seem like Christmas time anymore.

However, when I go on my annual ski trip in Colorado, all the trees at the Aspen Resort are still up and that seems perfectly normal when it's near zero outside at night. Walking thru town, I always wish that Fresno could be like that but it really takes cold weather to seem fitting.
