Thanks, and I grew up much the same way. My kids love it, I always say that boating is one of the few ways to get your teenager to want to hang out with parents and bring their friends. Long term we will get a lake house and hope to make this a multi-generation tradition over time.

That is a great plan!

Memories really coming back. In MN, everyone has a boat. Many houses on the street would hit the St. Croix River and go to our favorite sandbar up north, pitch camp, guys would go out and fish to catch dinner, women would stay on the bar and drink wine. Freshly caught walleye fried in cast iron with all homemade sides (which is sort of unbelievable now) and half a can a beer and a campfire and tents. Pure bliss.

Very nice Matt! I have always liked boats but not enough to own one, or better, not enough to toe that slippery slope. That said you have incorporated that lifestyle into your family and I give kudos for that!!

Just don't evolve the boat to this LOL!

Good story about gas money. My wife’s sister and her husband always come with us to the lake, one day we stopped at a gas dock and she sent him in to buy our gas. Thinking it was like filling up a car, he happily obliged and went in with another brother in law who was tasked with buying the beer. When he got the bill for $250 he turned to the other brother in law and said “hey man want to help me out?” The answer to which was of course “nope, I’m supposed to buy the beer”.:D

Great looking boat. I’m sure the family will love it.

I took mine out yesterday with a couple of friends for a fishing trip. We burned 60 gal of gas @ $3.00 per gal. And I picked up $20 in bait, I told them to bring their own lunch and drinks. We were out most of the day. They asked what they owed, and I said $70 dollars each would cover their share, same cost as the guest rate at the golf club. They happily abliged. And said they would love to go again. I did clean and keep the fish.

Last I looked a days charter, 8 hours , runs around $1,200 for a offshore trip.

My buddy has a 25 foot SeaHunt center console in the marina in our neighborhood. He’s very generous and I go fishing with him a lot. The first time I volunteered to buy gas I was quite surprised. He had half a tank and it still was $175! That being said, I’m happy to do it every so often when he lets me. Looks like you have a ton of enjoyment ahead of you!

Thanks all, excitement is an understatement. My wife and I spent the afternoon getting our current boat ready for the first looker on Sunday, the market is so hot we have three interested parties and I haven’t even advertised it. We both got emotional when we were finished, knowing that we are getting ready to part ways. I’m as big of a car guy as you’ll ever find, but have built emotional bonds with our boats that exceed anything I’ve ever felt for a car. It has simply been the best family investment that we have ever made, period.

Nice boat Matt! A summer spent with that will leave all your "Covid cares" behind you.

BTW, what was the previous boat you're selling? I'm sure you're stepping up to more power.

Very nice boat, Matt! Looks like you got one with a stabbin cabin?:D

Buying the beer instead of gas seems like a no-brainer....

Until you're on a big azz sailboat with a bunch of drunken sailors :D.

Nice! I've been looking at upgrading my boat recently and got to try one with the joystick (in this case attached to twin 250 outboards) and it was a game changer, made marina maneuvering and docking in the wind so easy! Very high on my "want" list for my next boat.

2009 Regal 2700ES, really great boat but we’d like more space and power.

I wish! That will be the next one. The next model up from Chaparral has the cabin but it’s even more money.
