New Boat!

Following my pattern of moving up every three years, here’s the next one! I am buying a 2016 Chaparral 307 SSX with 96 hours, close on it next Friday. Hard top, twin 6.2 Mercruisers, joystick docking, captain’s choice exhaust, premium audio, refrigerator, shore power and battery charger, etc. It’s in like new condition, one owner freshwater only at Grand Lake in Oklahoma. Needless to say I’m pumped!

I’ll keep this one full time at Lake of the Ozarks in MO so in the last few days I have had to find and lease a slip, buy a lift, arrange a survey, and get transportation lined up. I’ve been busy but it has all fallen into place nicely. C’mon summer!!!

That looks really sharp (and will likely sound pretty sharp with the through hull exhaust in loud mode). Congrats!

That's going to be fantastic!
Great find too, 96 hours just tells you it's been tested and is ready!

Beautiful boat Matt! Congrats and enjoy! We spent much our childhood on boats growing up, great fun for the family and friends.

Love Chaparral! Had an SS190 back in the day as well as a Signature 290, both rock solid. Great score!

Why not just leave it at Grand? It's over an hour closer...

Thanks, and I grew up much the same way. My kids love it, I always say that boating is one of the few ways to get your teenager to want to hang out with parents and bring their friends. Long term we will get a lake house and hope to make this a multi-generation tradition over time.

We don’t like Grand, compared to LOTO it’s dirty and there is way less to do. We’ve been going to LOTO for 9 years and love it.

Well then, you'll just have to buy a plane to make the commute reasonable.

Now you just need to buy a 15-17 foot runabout so the kids can ski and tube

I have so much boat envy.

I watched this video: https://www.dailymotion.com/video/x7ea7fk

Great boat. I picked out my seat.

Airplane was a literal lol. That makes a boat look really cheap!

Thanks all, excitement is an understatement. My wife and I spent the afternoon getting our current boat ready for the first looker on Sunday, the market is so hot we have three interested parties and I haven’t even advertised it. We both got emotional when we were finished, knowing that we are getting ready to part ways. I’m as big of a car guy as you’ll ever find, but have built emotional bonds with our boats that exceed anything I’ve ever felt for a car. It has simply been the best family investment that we have ever made, period.
