^ Masks are said to protect others.

The most recent second wave --after and during high mask compliance-- suggests that these masks do nothing.

So Faucci comes out and sez wear TWO masks! (can't make this up - insanity)

There is zero evidence that typical masks even slow down this virus.

And then immunized people are told that they must still wear the mask. (Again, ya can't make this up - insanity)

okay, "intended to protect others"

People seem to forget that vaccines protect the vaccinated.

If an unvaccinated person meets up with a vaccinated person aren't both being protected by some degree?

When the Spanish flu was going around killing not just the old and infirm, a rumor came out that dogs were carriers of the virus. This "science" took hold and Mass killing of dogs ensued. But at least the people killing their pets (and other people's pets) wore face masks that proved just as useless as today, so, there's that. They all congratulated themselves on "doing something."

Here we are now... people telling us that vaccinated people might be carriers. - ridiculous. But protect carriers if they wear a cheap leaky face mask - ridiculous.

You gave a lengthy essay on what you think proper procedure is to lessen the spread of covid but I didn't see a response to the original question. Care to weigh in on the topic?

Late to respond but I think the requirement to be vaccinated when dealing close by close to the public, e.g., handling plates of food, should be up to the employer and the employee can opt out and not work there.

Same applies to hair nets and caps for cooks and other food preparers. Wear the required gear or get out.

I realize one is generally a health dept mandate and the other is not. But the business belongs to the owner who sets policy. If the owner wants tee shirts and orange short shorts, then you wear that or not work there.

Pregnancy should have nothing to do with this.

All the things you list are in health codes, and enforced by govt. due to risk of infection.

I agree that you should have a choice but I'd have you off the street and at the crappiest job in the department. No way we taxpayers should be liable for your sick leave when you've been given the means to avoid the cause. Get the vaccine, get covid and I'll be more than happy to cover you. We all have conditions of employment and this is just one.

Nope, should not be forced. First responders here were offered it as soon as it was made available. Surprisingly large number of us are turning it down. There is going to be huge pushback if they ever try to make it mandatory for us.

Make the lousy bastards wear masks and gloves for the rest of their lives.

Why do you hate anyone with a highly functioning immune system?

I don't hate anyone. I'm being overly dramatic for the purposes of entertainment.

If you work for me and refuse to help protect the health of yourself and others, I'll fire your arse too.

We've now lost two people in my family to Covid, and I knew a lot of people who have died of it, and hundreds of others who have been seriously ill from it.
