My emissions system completely failed in my 18 ram at 30k ish miles. $5.5k to fix. Deleted ever since, and I'm just about 100k miles.....

I’m terrified that someday these pests will realize motorcycles exist.

When an agency that has been created to enforce legislation starts to "interpret" the laws in a new and creative way, then it needs to be destroyed. This is because the people are the ones who make the laws, not the bureaucrats. Not the government employees. The civilian population are the ones who determine what the laws are.

Actually, it's the same generation and general emissions systems as your 6.4 PSD. His is a much better engine but the systems are the same.

I deleted the DPF, cat, and EGR system on my Ford 6.4. These three systems conspire to kill many of these engines prematurely and strangle the power and MPG. With a tow tune I have no black smoke, far more power, a smoother running engine, and get 25% better MPG. Since the early days of government mandated emissions they have simply traded one evil for another, this is no different.

My point was the government regulations weren't the problem the poor engineering by the manufacturer was

Fair enough, but I think the deletes are just as popular on the Duramax as the PSD.

Dan J 03-11-2021 12:52 PM

True that but they're "popular" not necessary

The lobbyists are the ones that make the laws.
