When I had cats, they ate Meow Mix (Purina).

You have to feed them wet and dry.
It's the wet that makes their poop stinky but you want them to stay hydrated and the wet helps. Also a water fountain. Cats can't really see what's under their nose, if you have a cat that paws at it's water that's why, if it's not moving they have a hard time seeing it. A fountain helps big time. The wet also rots their teeth so you want to feed them dry to help keep the choppers clean. My 4 split a can of wet in the morning and an Indoor weight maintenance dry is left out for grazing for the day. One of our guys, the skinny one, gets his own bowl of higher calorie salmon dry left in a spot the other fat bastards can't get to. |
Thanks to everyone for their responses.!
Great news! One of the products I had been using has pretty much disappeared from the market recently and I just called Hartz and the CSR told me there was a delay in shipment and it should start appearing again soon. It's their Delectables Seniors Stew product: https://www.hartz.com/wp-content/upl..._1300x1300.jpg My senior loves this product and I had been trying to give one or two a week to him. His main diet is Purina One kibble though. |

Always pleased to see you. And doesn't cost a fortune. |
Our three indoor cats get Royal Canin - They get a 50/50 mix of the Indoor Adult and Urinary SO. No wet food as part of their regular diet (as our vet recommends), they drink plenty of water.
