I've paid in my entire life and am going to happily take whatever I can back. You don't get many opportunities like this.....

Do people have a choice in whether or not to accept these things? Seems people who don't need them should decline them.

So they can take my money and give it to someone else? No thanks.

Not even close to true. Barely a majority of Americans pay any federal income tax. So many millions have not paid anything or certainly not their entire lives, but will still get a check. I'm using mine to pay taxes next month. Whatever the gov't. wants me to do with it, I'll do the opposite.

Here, as in Pelican.

^^^ There are a few here that have denied getting a check last time.

Not that much.
80 or 160 couple gets nothing.

Sooner or later 03-14-2021 11:12 AM

I received the 1st one. Didn't get the 2nd one for some unknown reason, even though I am below the AGI. Currently it shows no info for this latest round.

Not that I really care.

stevej37 03-14-2021 11:12 AM

^^^ Thanks Alan
Explains some of the complaints.

Please don't send it to VISA or Mastercard, the first round did nothing but stimulate VISAS bank accounts :(

This round old bank/private debt walked on may suction all or part of your check. Back taxes/missed child support will not impact it.

Govt. wants you to spend it. If you get it, then blow it on pizza or beer, give big tips whatever.

That increases what economists call the "velocity" of the money, and it will go to those on the bottom.
