Arrow Chiefs fans' deaths: Homeowner had ‘no idea’ friends were in yard, attorney says

Geraldo hits the nail on the head straight away....drugs (Fentanyl)....but *someone* elected not to include that part of the segment.....

Family members and friends of three Kansas City Chiefs fans found dead outside of a Kansas home earlier this month want answers from police. The three men gathered to watch a football game at their friend’s house, and their bodies were found in the backyard days later. The homeowner told police the men froze to death, and the case is not being investigated as a homicide. John Picerno, the homeowner’s attorney, tells NewsNation host Dan Abrams that his client “didn’t have anything to do with their deaths.” Veteran journalist Geraldo Rivera, NewsNation host Ashleigh Banfield and Law & Crime Network anchor Jesse Weber discuss.

This. There's no other reasonable way to explain what happened.

how is killing people good for the cartels? I never understood that argument....wouldn't you want an addict that keeps buying and giving you $$? Anyway, sad tale...I'm sure we will learn more as the investigation continues.

They don't care about the deaths, and they know the appetite for illegal drugs is rampant in this country. They have a virtually unlimited list of customers, and new ones every day. The profit margin is huge.

Sounds like a total load of sheiße to me. But you can't expect a lawyer for the home owner to provide any useful info.

It's funny, for me when I think of the sorts of addicts that die from drug OD, I usually either picture young folks or homeless/practically homeless folks. But, of course, there are drug addicts in EVERY walk of life.

I heard a State bureau of investigations agent discussing this case today. What I find odd is that the deceased guys cars were still at the home. So your buddies' cars are in your driveway and you don't know where they went???

Conspiracy theory

*Home owner gave the goods and survived the OD*

This could be a likely scenario. If a few of those guys were indeed doing drugs, it's quite likely they were ALL doing drugs.

Home owner may have also dragged the bodies outside in a lame effort to distance himself from the incident.

The homeowner's attorney was just on Cuomo again.

More details coming out about text messages - not returned. VERY FISHY!

To me, that signifies the homeowner was trying to figure things out and was avoiding speaking to anyone until he had no choice.

Homeowner is HIDING something - probably the drug situation.

I'll post the segment later if I can find it.

If the fentanyl numbers are anywhere near the truth, I think there’s gonna be a whole lot more of these weird deaths.

Just because the one guy survived doesn’t mean he had anything to do with the others’ deaths. The tox showing they did OD on fentanyl would not, on its own, implicate the survivor as being somehow responsible. He may have lucked out or not even imbibed the opioid but was drunk on alcohol alone.

I don’t know if it’s possible to be semi-comatose for two days or however many hours transpired before the bodies were discovered. The survivor guy answered the door appearing to have been on a bender. It’s possible he had no idea his friends died nor that his phone was ringing or texting, nor even that their cars were in the driveway. Blackout drunk isn’t all that rare for people with ETOH use disorder.

Addendum: ETOH = ethanol

Just another fentanyl death story. I’m sure there is more to it, but really only relevant if he supplied the drugs.

They are trying to get into the phones of the dead guys now, asking relatives for the passcode. Besides the toxicology report, this might help who supplied the drugs, and if it’s the survivor, he could be in hot water.

That's how they got Alex Murdaugh. Accessed the son's phone and saw incriminating evidence.

I wouldn’t be surprised if they discover no drugs in their systems but rather very high blood alcohol content. Perhaps doing shots or passing a bottle around, passed out and froze to death.
