Cool story...thanks. Happy for the guy. At this point in my life, wouldn't want any of my old cars back, but that's just me.

Neat story, but that would never happen to me. I don't keep paper work from cars I owned 40 years ago.

Ha! I was expecting much more of a "Florida man" action that involved being nekkid, or driving while nekkid, or a nekkid woman on the hood while he was driving nekkid...or at least an alligator in the trunk.

You've already got your old cars.
I'd like to have a couple/few of my old cars, but only if someone had done restorations. I suspect at least one of them is nothing but rust by now.

I think I've got a couple/few old keys from past cars. I might have some paperwork for one or two somewhere.

I have had a bunch of cars, but not many that warrant having again.

The only car I've owned that I might want again was my '78 280Z but I sold to a friend with the understanding that I get first right of refusal if he sells.

I would like to find the '72 911 my father bought shortly before his death that was returned to the dealer. I have no paperwork on it and the Dallas dealer said they don't have records back that far.

That is cool. And imagine when he tells people admiring the car that he bought it when it was new.

So that's how to win first place at a car show.

I’ve tried to buy my E46 M3 back several times . . . That’s the one that got away.

That old 280z was great if it's the one that I saw way back. I'm bummed that you got rid of it too. hahaha

I did not know that they ever sold 3x2 barrel cars w factory A/C??

Probably one or the other was added later. Most likely the carbs, since Pontiac sold 1500 of them and only 8000 survive.

Cool story.

I'd love to have a '64. One of my favorite songs:

That's the one. It ran pretty good in a straight line against your Carrera as I recall. The Datsun just doesn't have nearly the torsional rigidity of a Porsche. I think the only way it can get close is with a full roll cage tying all the suspension points together.
