Not really a caption, but I love how the EMT is so unfazed.

"Yeah, my COPD patient is getting her last cigarette in before we load her in the ambulance. Whatever."

Precocious squirrel boy doesn't even get to her. She's seen it all. She's just riding out the clock.

She might even know him. A son/nephew/neighbor/cousin/husband/cousin husband.

I love how the boy is looking back over his shoulder, either at his friends, probably his father, who is spurring him on. He's no one trick pony either. He causes all sorts of hell for his teachers at school. He's a pro.

honorable mention: Mamma's fingernails. Bad nail polish? Cyanotic? Combination? YOU decide!

Took all six shots but she got him before she fell backwards off the porch.

I shot the Squirrel, but I did not shoot my Grandmother.

"Mom swerved and missed the deer, but we got us a squirrel."

"In our continuing studies involving the dichotomy of the relationship dynamics between three individuals, we have discovered three distinct personas emerging: one of denial, as depicted by the elderly woman, whose body language is clearly expressing disinterest and apathy; one of self-absorbed boastfulness, as depicted by the young child who is full of pride based on his own accomplishments; and one of projected control, as depicted by the EMT worker whose outward appearance of being calm and collective is insufficient to mask his inability to admit this experience is not only pushing him out of his comfort zone, but is also prompting his inner psyche to recall the coping mechanisms his therapist had taught him just last week.

We will discover how this conflict between these three individuals represent the three components of our personalities: the id, ego, and super-ego, as defined in classic Freudian psychology.

Now class, please turn to page 342 in our text books so we can delve into this more deeply."

You guys are the best... I had no idea it would generate so many great responses. How much fun would it be to put it on a Christmas card and say "We're moving to the country... city life is just so boring lately."

Here's mine I just now put together, with apologies to Jeff Foxworthy...

If grandma always has to get in one last Marlboro before going in the ambulance, your 8-year old son can take out a squirrel at thirty feet with one shot, you have a stolen trash can, a stick with a red reflector on it, and a years old cut up pine tree tree in your yard... you might be a redneck.

"Hey sis- check it out! The squirrel didn't make it after you tripped over it!"

Fun fact- Gramma is actually member from 80's hair band Stryper.
(she's on the left)

This incident occurred while filming the new discovery reality show "Life after Stryper" airing this fall 2021.
