That would be difficult if it springs forth from the great ego that is tabs.

Or make people wonder if the machine is a "Syncronika" or a "Syncornika"

stevej37 04-19-2021 12:09 PM

The 'syncornika' also makes popcorn.

That line really put the buzz in your bonnets.

You give a detailed description of what a wonderful machine it is but in your first sentence you admit you don't even own one?

TimBer 04-19-2021 12:49 PM

The "fly" comment reminded me of that one Breaking Bad episode.

He says that he's only ever bought one. He may have had use of one, or been given one.

I think tabs is trying to tell us that espresso is bad for your heart. ;):D

BINGO... WE HAVE A WINNER>>>>>A WINNER I TELL YA...that was the metaphor I was referencing...

and what do ya draw from that reference as a meaning...that was the undercurrent I was creating about being obsessive ..

That shows I have the bonafides of having bought and used a superlative machine .for it's the time...I am not a newbie..and I am comparing the new machine favorably to the Salvatore.. I also made reference to the Syncronika as being comparable to a RR..and that it is a durable machine that will last like a RR.

I did take a shot at the coffee geeks being overly obsessive about their quest for perfection. It is only a cup of coffee for christs sake.

masraum 04-19-2021 01:40 PM

I've never seen any Breaking Bad.

I would think that the millennial hipster coffee geek demographic would have seen and or been aware of the series. that was the demo I was aiming at...and the undercurrent I created will not be lost on them even if they are not consciously aware of it. If perchance they do catch it they will know I can throw a mean curve ball...

Timber caught it ..he heard and identified the dog whistle..

I don't know, but he always reminds me of Ignatius Reilly from the book, A Confederacy of Dunces. Come to think of it, this site is full of Ignatiuses.
