I got one of mine pulled this morning.
It cracked last year, it didn't hurt and because of Covid I didn't go in.
Started hurting this year, went in, the Endodontist said it was dead. He started grinding away for a root canal and cap, and found the fracture went all the way to the root on both sides, so it was basically broken in half.

I opted for the sedated extraction, got all the good stuff. Fentanyl, propofol, all the good stuff. Didn't feel a thing. Still a little bit numb on that side, can't wait for it to wear off.

Only a local for mine. Whole procedure was over in about 10 minutes, not counting the time it took for the Novocaine to take hold.

My dentist and I are friends. I've been to his home and we've traded plants. He showed me a topiary he trained as a 'tooth' at his office. He trims it himself.
