Oh yeah, another YouTube rabbit hole I've gotten into for 2021, the Babolyon Bee.

They interview an incredible mix of people, and uh, some are really out there.

It's fun.

So I sometimes watch one of the old races on the TheRacingJungle. 164 ESPN Speedworld vids of Indy, IMSA, NASCAR and F1 mostly from the late 80s and 1990s. VHS-quality, but you can't have everything.

For me a lot of these older races are "new".

I do wish for better quality, but hey, if I'd been in period on TV would it have been much better?
Short tracks have moved up to being my favourite form of paved racing with four tires.
Short tracks can throw some crazy ideas and get away with it, they really know how to entertain.
From making a race class that has to work with four school busses driving around the track during the race, to making a pylon loop on one of the straights, tons of ideas.

I had a transition where I went from a Ferrari fan, to F1 fan, to Red Bull fan.
I think if Bernie will still in charge I'd probably still pay attention to F1 instead of just checking at years end to see where Red Bull placed.

I've been watching a lot of "Rig Rundowns" lately. This one is my favorite so far.

They have European cities as well. Probably best watched with a map. And uh check for updates before committing to a plane ticket.

Also watch old cowboy movies...recently watched "Missouri Breaks" with Jack Nicholsen, Marlon Brando...beats hell out of much on the tube (or theatres) today.

Hands down my two favorite channels:

This Old Tony: - home machinist extraordinaire, great with stop-motion videos and dad-jokes too!

Clickspring: an Aussie who, besides what we see from him on YT, I think he's a precision jeweler/watchmaker/clockmaker as well. His series on reproducing the 2000 year old mechanical date/holiday/moon phase Antikythera Device (found in the 1950's) is mindblowing! The example below, however, is a one-off for another youtuber:

Sampson Boat Co (Tally Ho) old boat rebuild as stated by others here is great.

It led me to this scratch wood boat build. I went back and started at the beginning and am part way through them at about episode 80. It starts with this guy cutting down trees for lumber and building a temporary boat house. This makes all my projects over the years look like child's play
