Well, growing up in the South and being named after the Poet "Lord Byron" didn't make school any easier, then my initials being BVD, also made me the but of many jokes.
Now, hardly anyone ever knows about BVDs (and I never owned a pair either) and figured out how to have fun with them, as I tell everyone that the tag on my 911 stands for Underwear Emergency :D

This was on my VW Rabbit Diesel pick up.http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1619804948.jpg
Them the Track support vehicle. :Dhttp://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1619805058.jpg
So, while as a youth, it bothered me, as I grew up I appreciated the uniqueness and embrace as the Underwear Fleet proudly displays.

Birth name of Samuel. Called Samuel by my very godly Mother, as reference to the biblical prophet, Samuel. Call "Sam" by my Dad as a secular derivative of the biblical imperative.

Dad was very fond of saying this to me: " Sam is a manly name, so be one".

Roger that Dad. I became and remain a man. Taught the boy and now the grandson.

Miss the ol' man, tough as nails that he was.

Reminds me of "A Boy Named Sue."

Even I didn't know it wasn't Johnny Cash---

Bill Douglas's are a dime a dozen. So if someone tries to find out more on google they are going to get way lost.

I was joking with a friend about identity theft. I said if someone stole my identity and travelled it may be a case of "Ah, Mr Douglas, We've been expecting you back. We are locking you up until you pay your tax bill."

All good fun.
