Cordless Lawnmower

Any recommendations about cordless lawnmowers?

Need 21” or so push or self-propelled to do some touch ups where the 60”er won’t fit.

I bought one of these.

Works great. Looks like they make push mowers too.

Cordless Lawnmower

I bought a Toro 60V last year. It handles my postage stamp lot just fine.

I bought an eGo self propelled mower. Mostly because I already had some batteries (all of theirs are interchangeable) and my air resources board had a $125 rebate to "retire" a gas mower. Found it on sale so the price difference was about $150. I have a small yard but since switching to all battery yard tools, I wonder why I didn't do it sooner.

Aren't most mowers with a gas engine "Cordless"?

We also just got an eGo. Our yard is hilly and about 10,000 sf. Battery lasts through the whole yard with 1/3 or more of the battery to go (There is a gauge on it). Pushing it up the yard is easier than a gas mower. Works so well, we will never go back to gas

have had an ego for about 2 years.

1000x more pleasant to use and own than gas and about 95% as effective at cutting lawn. For small to moderate size lawn these days I would never consider infernal combustion

A goat on a rope might work.

But then it wouldn’t be cordless anymore.

1st house, small yard, I used a manual reel mower. Sharp blades and don't let the grass get tall, they work pretty well.

I was coming here to say the eGo seems to be very popular. I have run across a lot of people with them while working and asked them how they liked it. Every one was a positive review in the real world.

There are about 10-12 companies all with battery mowers out there now.

We already switched the trimmer and edger to battery and love not having to fire up a 2 stroke anymore.

The lawnmower is starting to get long in the tooth. I figure one more season and we retire it for a eGo.

Thank you, all.

Right now, it looks like I'm going with eGO.

I have an 80V Kobolt (Loews house brand). It is based on the Greenworks mower. It is self-propelled and works well. It is super easy to deal with. No maintenance and no gas to store or oil to change. The batteries charge pretty quickly and it takes 1 1/2 batteries to do my yard.

Unless you have a huge yard or steep hills, I would skip the self propelled version eGo if there is a price difference.

I have the self propelled and basically never use it. The mower isn't heavy and very easy to push.

The goats also are experts at fertilizer distribution too.
