Off my usual route, he/she was going too fast for the condition occupying the whole darn road and I had to pull over and stop on the dime.

No damages but noticed in the mirror, he/she whoever it was did stop momentarily on the side thinking he/she caused an accident.

Never again on the undivided section of 35, skyline blvd to 17 for those in this area.

Never again? I grew up on Skyline Blvd and never had an incident on the mountain roads. Same for my parents, who lived up there for 40 years. But I've been in a few fender benders down in the flatlands.

Undivided road not the main section, leading to a vineyard should have been ample warning in hindsight, but my Baz maneuver is still in good practice sans the tunes.

But you’re right in one sense.
I’ll be driving the SUV next time around.

Are you familiar with Old La Honda Road, from Skyline down to Portola Valley? Our full size school bus went down that road every day. Now that's an undivided road! Pete the bus driver always honked his horn at corners like these to warn cars coming the other way. They must have freaked when they saw us. In 9 years we only got hit once. Good times!

That’s what that SR35 looks like at the southernmost portion. I recall driving thru there many years back but don’t remember it being that hazardous and yep, was using the horns liberally after that near miss..
