If the video is to be believed, the Nash went 20 miles up in 21 mins. I'm impressed.
And did I hear right that it went down in neutral as a test of the brakes? 1950 Ramber, 2.8L I6, 82hp. Decent for 1950, I would think.

Back in the early 30's my grandma took my mother on a trip across the western US. Mom was around 10. They were in a Packard (grandma took care of the house of some rich folks. They went to Europe so they loaned grandma the car).
They hired some guy in Colorado Springs to drive them up. Mom said the trip up was great. Trip down was a bit too exciting. |

In the early 70's, my father came home with a used Rambler American Classic for my older sister.
I drove it a few times...I have no doubt that it was the slowest car on the road..ever.
