Good for him! He's not driving for a 3rd rate team and they don't have team orders.
That said, Marco had the pole at the Indy 500 last year and put in his usual Uber performance. Leading the first lap is fun (and safer) they only reward the one that leads the last lap. I hope he does well right behind Newgarden and Rahal. Edit for clarification-yes, I know this is the G.P. and not the 500. Just using Marco as an example.

Race is this afternoon. Not Sunday.
I read his interview and it was nice to hear. Good for him! |

I'm happy for him, and I hope he does well; it'll be good for him personally and it will be really good for Dale Coyne Racing.
Never understood why the knives were out for him when he was in F1.

Great result for him , I imagine a huge boost to his confidence . But now has to turn it into a solid race result .

He commented that it was clear that the indy road course was designed with f1 in mind, as the rhythm was something he felt accustomed to.

Outside of a failure, he has the field smoked.

He did good. The next test is when you start mid or back of the pack and still come out on the podium. No doubt he has mad skills.
Veekay earned the win. Good for the new kid.

He ran a solid race and earned a podium . Good for him and the crew . Lots of races left to prove this was not a fluke .

Happy for Romain.
Coyne’s team seems to do well with French drivers. Indycar is in for a great season.

Looks like the super teams of Penske, Ganassi, and Andretti won't be dominating like in the past. Parity is good for the series.

CGR does have two wins so far, but yea, the competition is more open now than it has been for a long time.

As I've said before, Grosjean's resume is impressive, F1 notwithstanding. He will do well and he will do even better with a bigger team. He could be the new Bourdais and win some championships.
Grojsean is 35 and Bourdais is 42. Speaking of age, JPM is 45, what is he doing? Of course there's a gaggle of young 20 somethings out there as well and they, for the most part, are quick. |
