Kingsport Press in my hometown of Kingsport, TN. At one time (late '70s and '80s) it was the larget hardbound book manufacturer in the world. If you own many books at all, likely at least a few of them were made there. My Dad held many positions there, but was the plant manager from about 1982 to 1987. It employed about 3500 employees in total. I worked there in the summers in college. Book sales tanked with the advent of the internet and the place finally closed. They tore it down and built a Food City grocery store.
