hope this comes across at humor..

TABS hahaha..i'm a fan. he pisses me off sometimes, but the new vash doesn't take crap seriously on an internet forum.

I've been on PPOT so long it's pfuuking embarrassing. one thing I admire about TABS there is no new Tabs or old Tabs. just Tabs. jealous almost. jealous he is just Tabs. he has never changed and i see no inkling of change in the future. he is solid in his convictions. I know some of you have met him real life. damn, jealous about that.

in my PPOT tenure, I have never ever ever seen Tabs offer condolences, calming advice. etc. hell, I've never seen him offer apologies. 8 people die in San Jose at the hands of a madman...and here comes Tabs. I didn't read his post clearly, but no doubt, they ring of "I told you so". hahhahah..

if I die, don't tell Tabs. :) go TABS!!

IMO, Tabs is a closet sadist. For years, he has on a regular basis predicted upcoming and unavoidable economic doom all the while admitting that there is no solution or way to protect oneself. If the warning has no benefit to others then it would seem his motivation is to create misery of others who now worry about impending doom. Sorry but that is my honest opinion. YMMV

Addendum: for the record, I think he is mostly correct. I just don't believe it is very humane to constantly remind people that they are on the verge of economic collapse.

I have had dinner with him on two separate occasions. His personality is the only thing that's bigger than he is. Good times.

tabs is a pillar of PPOT. At certain times in the past couple of decades, tabs’ posts have been very useful to me.

Sure. Why not? We can discuss almost anything or anybody here.

It scares me, but I do believe I understand Tabs while also agreeing with much of what he says.

One big difference is that I continue to hold on to hope for the USA. But hell, even a slave in the salt mines has hope.

I've seen at least one, but I think maybe 2 or 3 human posts by tabs. I'm always gobsmacked when I do.

Tab's is the board's Oracle. Oracles are rare and we honor them when we encounter them. He's wrong about the doom and gloom stuff, but he's our Oracle nonetheless and he's right about most everything else except his analysis of WWII still confuses tactics and strategy despite his best efforts to expand his mind and take the whole thing in.

I never thought I'd ever see a "Tabs fanboy" thread. Interesting.

I find him abrasively enlightening at times; often repetitive in his themes. Certainly an intelligent man that looks at the big picture. But Tabs doesn't care what I think...

Like a smooth Bourbon, (think Pappy Van Winkle), Tabs is often misunderstood; he's an acquired taste. At first, he irritated me. Then he amused me. Now, he impresses me with his wealth of knowledge and taste.

I miss the old Tabs monologues where he used to go on about the wonders of the Vegas buffet, issues he has with Mother, and lest we forget, his massive knowledge of all things spoons, persian rugs, and antiquities.

There's only one way to become an Oracle - one earns it. Tabs has earned that title.

Thank you for the entertainment so far. If you are ever in the North East, there will be a bottle of Bourbon in my home for you. (But no Pappy's - you may be a man of wealth and taste, but I'm not!!)

Oracle? Jesus Christ. A big man with a swollen head and huge insecurity issues.

However, I have agreed with him on occasion. Beyond his doomsday beat, he does come up with bits of flicker of the candle now and then.

He waxes poetic and spells for siht.

Thinking Milt hit it on the head.

Overly focused on 'things' and when he speaks of things i know about i find he's just parroting and not speaking from personal experience. On politics i kinda like that he's not married to either side and seems to speak from a independent mind.

It is always good to have somebody that is contra the herd. Tabs does that in spades.
Okay so he thinks there is a doomsday going to happen in the economic world.

The problem there is he never offers any antidote if it happens. My only suggestion is diversification and possibly some gold. But where do you store it?:)

I just wish he would learn to shoot.

tabs talks about some stuff that I follow closely, and I can assure you he indeed knows his stuff there. What can be overlooked is that while most of us, including me, are 90% focused on the waves, tabs is 90% focused on the tide. If you're expecting him to correctly call the next incoming or outgoing wave, you're missing the point.

Tabs gives the impression he has the means to live anywhere he wants and not be tied to a job.
His picking Vegas tells me all I need to know.

PPOT is very informative and intelligent. Tabs is one of many who make it so.

He was a refugee from Californicate long before Joe Rogan was...

the photo above, not what i expected. in my mind i had him pictured as looking like darth vader without the helmet. im glad i can get that image out of my head now

I believe in a lot of what he says...just wish he was more positive. :)
