Remember mideastmafia? (shaun)

I've talked to Shaun today and remembered that he was banned (well over a year ago) from pelicanparts. I don't seem to recall exactly what happened. Any feedback on what he had done, and if you guys feel he should be "unbanned" would be much appreciated.
Thanks
Ahmet

I think he should be unbanned.

Who cares what he did, its the past and he should get a second chance. Porchby started it always anyways.

Agreed, bring him back. Ahmet, if you may remember it was the "mideastmafia" and "P0r2boy" incident with the photoshopped pictures depicting a certain individual in a "peter pan" jumpsuit. Frankly I found it hilarious, but some of the content was objective to others.

I always though the content that Shaun brought to this board was great! He could always make me laugh.

Why was he banned? Cuz Matt (lordgrommit) didn't find his antics funny. And then he started making unregistered screen names like "grommeet" or other stuff and would post while he was in "time out" or whatevers. I remember thats when I moved to rennlist, because there was so much more traffic.

And then, a light dawned on me. More traffic does not mean better. And then all the tuners began to duke it out at rennlist. Bleh. Thats all I can remember.

Anyways, the question is: will shaun WANT to come back?

mideastmafia was one of the hardcore regulars... that was back in the day when Ahmet posted on just about every thread and obin was starting to collect titles for the porsche movie list...

OK, I see this as mostly positive feedback. I don't have a problem with him, and those peterpan pictures, well I was the one who found those (but no I didn't edit any, and don't ask!) I just wanted neutral feedback. Seems to me him and lordgrommit had a problem, but I don't recall any of that. This is inline with what Shaun tells me anyway.

I will look into it further tomorrow.
Thanks guys.

I joined at around the same time Shaun was kicked off. I remember searching through the archives and lmao at his posts. I'd love to see him back here.

edit- Wasn't he allowed back for a while, only to get banned again shortly thereafter? I remember him getting a second chance, and then lordgrommit announcing he was banned again after he 'blew it' in some thread which was deleted.

I still think he should be let back on here. I've been watching Rennlist for a while, and he has been very mature and curteous for the last few months over there.

I remember the whole Porchby/Shaun thing. But as I recall, Shaun wasn't banned right then, he was around for a bit afterwards. Ultimately, what started as a joke, got more and more personal. I think at one point Shaun posted Porchby's name and address, if he didn't actually post it, I know he had access to it. I say let him back either way. He was funny, knowledgeable, and pretty decent kid.

I say bring him back also, even though he changed my screen name to "site queer" after he figured out my password.

There is a fine line between funny and obnoxious and SHAUN sometimes doesn't respect or care which side he is on.......but recently he has been standing on the "good" side of that line. Everyone gets older.

Would Pelican be hindered by his return?......no.
Would Pelican benefit from his return?.......ummmm.......not really - we have enough funny/witty people here to keep us going for a while.

any of us can click on someone's profile button and do an "add to____ your ignore list"....works great...you can also go to your CP button to edit the list too.

I think we should all be here to contribute to the others on this forum...not to ourselves...and that goes for the humor...we need to think it's funny

when you get no feedback from people to your posting then you have to ask yourself....
