“Dread” made me laugh but it’s true - I eat pretty cleanly and have an active lifestyle / CrossFit etc and I too “dread” what would happen if I stopped, considering how far I’ve tumbled physically from my 20s despite some effort to slow the descent.

Nope go for it.

I'm 56 doing the Cape to cape next year. Roughly fifteen miles. They changed it up where it is around Cape may rather than Cape to Cape but same distance. Must be done in under 3:30 hrs. Several people in their 60's-70's.

I see some people using paddleboard’s on the lake where we have our cabin. Maybe it’s just me, but it looks boring as can be.

Have done it the past 2 years now when on vacation at Gulf Breeze, FL and I am pushing 50. It is so much fun, you don’t even have to go fast. On the bay side of the island in the morning when it is really calm you can look down and see all kinds of fish, sea turtles, rays, etc... Highly, highly recommend

My dog will go for short trips somewhat reluctantly. If I got more into it I'd get a solid board. The inflatable will flex in chop and the heavier you are the worse that will be, but they are pretty cheap and a good way to get started.

Great pic, Jerry!

almost as big a loser as the loser i saw with a dog standing on the gas tank of his motorcycle cruising along at 50mph the other day.

as for paddle boarding, i find kayaks way more fun but i guess you gotta try it and see if you like it.

Daily yoga :-)

If I'm paddling with the dog I'm mostly up on my knees or sitting like this and close to shore as she doesn't love it or water in general. I'll also paddle on my knees in heavy chop or if I just tire of standing.

Sir it sounds like your lake is invaded with skool-marm convention paddleboarders.
So yeah, not much to see and one has to rely on imagination in such a state of lake affairs.

I suggest being patient and wait for the mommy-me-time convention paddleboarders.
The cloth coverins tends to be very minimal, and you'll see more camel toes than you would in the Arabian desert.

^^^ I would need a kayak instead of a stand-up paddleboard.
Can you use two oars on a sup?
