If that works with your particular chuck then great. For $10, it seems like it's worth a shot.

Another option, how about replacing the chuck?

I find that most keyless chucks don't require a ton of torque to lock, so if that didn't work, then maybe a "can opener" that is small enough, or maybe something like a pipe wrench since the twisting of the wrench causes the jaws to clamp shut. But then a pipe wrench is heavy which is likely to be an issue.

I have a Bauer battery drill and I hold the chuck with my left hand and slowly pull the trigger. When the chuck starts to slip in my hand, release the trigger and it's good and tight. Reverse the direction of the drill to remove the bit.

It uses the power of the drill instead of having to twist the chuck manually.

I think FB has a hand with a weak grip, so holding the chuck is a problem even with the power of the drill.

That's it exactly. My right hand is 90% crippled and with the strength of a 2 year old.

I believe that wrench only works with the specified Precise keyless chuck. It doesn't work with any chuck. Your best bet would be to replace the keyless chuck with a keyed one, assuming your drill has a standard thread on the output. To remove a chuck, you first remove the screw inside it. It will be left hand threaded. Then the chuck unscrews normally. When we used to replace keyed chucks, you'd put the key in one of the holes and smack it with a hammer to loosen the chuck. Not sure what you'd do on a keyless, but I know I've done it before.

Thanks rockfan! Whether or not it works I've learned something new for the day. Now I can take a nap. :D

Just as scary, imagine living in this house in Portland's West Hills, which is in a huge Pacific Rim earthquake zone colloquially known as "The Ring of Fire"

Yep, while I'm sure being inside a house while it slide down a hill would be horrifying, I feel like there would be a chance that you'd live.

Being in that thing if it decided to "TIMBER!" seems like it would leave very, very little chance that you'd survive.

Yep, I've replaced a chuck before (keyed --> keyless) and it wasn't hard at all. I don't think going the other way would be any harder.

Maybe I'm seeing something that isn't there but it looks like there is a building it is connected to at the far end from the camera

The student is probably a minor and will skate assault charges.

I was at the doctors office and this makes no sense. Having the clean paper hand towels and the trash bin in the same fixture. So someone comes in, and does a #2, and doesn’t do a great job of washing their hands, places the soiled paper towel and drags it across the clean towels. Now the next guy/gal gets #2 on his hands from that contaminated towel.http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1683771434.jpg

Dolph Lundgren has been fighting cancer since 2015, was told he had 2-3 years to go, then got an encouraging development. He's currently 65 years old. Good luck Dolph!
