Car and Driver mag.

A couple days ago, I received my July/Aug copy. (Don't know when they changed from monthly.)
I've been a subscriber for at least 30 years.

Of the 88 pages..72 are devoted to EV's
Might be time to unsubscribe.

I've got boxes of old Road & Track, Car and Driver, Motor Trend, And Top Wheels magazines from the 80's. Time to dig them out and reminisce about the good old days!!!

Just wait until they go all on-line delivery - Cycle World did that some time ago. I cancelled after over 40 years.

Motor Trend recently sent me an "all electric" issue...it went to the recycle pile unopened.

I'll wait and see what the next issue brings.
Not planning on buying an EV in the next few years.

Are you still receiving 'Horse & Buggy' every month?

I let all my subscriptions expire. These aren't car enthusiast's magazines anymore.

Have you read Peter Egans "Leanings"?.

I started reading ‘Automobile’ magazine in about 1989, until they stopped printing. An email newsletter under their name continued, until it changed name to “#noboringcars” some time recently (I assume). Last week I got a “#noboringcars” email and the first link was….a comparison test between the Civic and Corolla. Really. I still have all my 80s mags (I started getting C&D and R&T in 1984) and those are still fun to go back and read.

@otter you should have read the likes of Satch Carslon or Travels with Farley. There were many more. Egan never moved me much.

IIRC, that's right about when David E. Davis moved from C&D to Automobile . . . .

I loved C&D from the late '70s to the early '90s. Lots of wit and incredible depth of knowledge. And some of the best auto photography ever; Jim Dunne's spy photos alone made subscribing worth it. For me, P. J. O'Rourke's Sgt. Dynaflow's Last Patrol perfectly sums up why C&D was so special. Now, not so much.

The letters to the ED are starting to get a little sour.
She seems to be taking it alright.

Pretty much true...only possible exception is Hot Rod.
