Again, when someone even slights the vax the emo twits break out the "Conspiracy theory!!" straw man. - talk about ilk who don’t want to see the numbers when they don’t fit their narrative

Like I said in an earlier post. You get a stiffy arguing this stuff for some reason. We all know you got the jab at the earliest possible moment. You’re not brave enough or stupid enough to take your chances with the rona.

NO... I implied that the vax has problems. One of which is that it fails a lot of people. Not ALL of the people.

How so?

Yet there is a ton of actual compiled data that says the vaccine is remarkably effective at keeping people out of the hospital. Been posted again and again in the various threads.

My anecdotes, have about a dozen friends and family that are Drs. They all say overwhelming majority of those hospitalized for c19 are unvaccinated. My brother in law who is a pulmonologist, whos prime job is taking care of c19 patients, says you would have to basically be insane not to get vaccinated at this point (at least for the vast majority of people). Hey just another anecdote of what some guy said though

Also as more people get vaccinated we are getting closer to the base rate fallacy Bayesian trap of statistics. If 100% are vaccinated a 100% of those hospitalized will be vaccinated. Statistics from US in aggregate were interesting because they are straightforward to interpret with near 50% vax rate.

Because the staff were specifically pointing out the error in the news. Having worked for a newspaper (tech side) in the past and talking with the photographers covering some trials I have found the news people report based on their agenda.

"According to staff" means what, exactly? The janitor was questioned?
A nurse from the children's floor?

If I want recommendations on antivirus software for a MAC, I go to someone who has worked with MAC's and repaired virus infections. Not my next door neighbor, who heard from a friend that MAC's could not be infected, no need for software.

I will collect information from epidemiologists regarding the viability of treatment. Not a podiatrist from Podunk, BFE.
Not a politician. Not a neighbor, or someone with a great youtube following.

Want information on diagnosing a early 911 fuel injection problem? Trust someone you know nothing about, or search the archives and rely on Grady, or some of the other posters here whom have been vetted. Or you can trust Bob, down the street, who has built a lot of V8's.

Island911 - other than your great research within social media, What do you KNOW about the field of Epidemiology?

Staff is in the doctors.

Funny how you can insult people, then dismiss name calling when it comes out. Well, I'm sorry, but island911 is the Mt. Everest of stupidity on this forum. I have asked him straightforward questions repeatedly, only to get crickets. Enough. A spade will be called a spade.:

In response to jyl's absolutely accurate post #2 on 7/30, an insult from you:

More gems from Chocaholic (in this thread):

I’m flattered that you quoted me. You accuse me of insults yet there are no insults in my posts. Only questions and alternate perspectives. Perhaps you see those as insults. That would explain a lot. Thanks for making my point.

Sarcasm can be insulting, no?

I was responding to flipper35 who wrote "I can tell you first hand ..."

Hope that helps.

Not really but carry on here in your second, third… whatever hand world filled with “information” while hypocritically complaining about attacks.

OK boys, read this article (and especially the embedded links) and get up to speed on your trustworthy government and their buddies in the pharmaceutical industry:

https://meaninginhistory.blogspot.com/2021/08/vax-authorization-short-and-long.html?m=1

This kind of thing is what concerns some of us and I can guarantee you that not one in 1000 people that have gotten vaccinated understand what’s presented in the article. They don’t even know to go look for it.

Really? So, if I quoted something you said that I didn't agree with and called it a "gem," you wouldn't find that insulting?

sarcasm
[ˈsärˌkazəm]
NOUN
the use of irony to mock or convey contempt.

I tried to look at that link and was immediately put off by the mission statement at the top:

meaning in history
this blog develops the idea that a theory of man in history can be worked out around the theme that man's self expression in culture and society is motivated by the desire to find meaning in man's existence. i proceed by summarizing seminal works that provide insights into the dynamics of this process, with the view that the culmination of this exploration was reached with god's self revelation in jesus. i'll hopefully also explore the developments that followed this event.

The first thing quoted in there as "the short version, via Twitter" mocks the official name given to the Pfizer vaccine.

Seriously, dude. Really? Don't expect anybody with a critical mind to put stock in that biased hogwash.

I don't rule out the possibility of undiscovered side effects, but in my opinion we have bigger fish to fry. I would rather not take the vaccine, but this one is necessary.

No sir, I would not. Perhaps your sensibilities are more refined than mine. If you want to understand what an insult is, go back and read upscott, Speeder, Sugarwood or many of your own posts.

Calling someone “a piece of garbage” might be one example.

Steve Carlton 08-25-2021 11:24 AM

I prefer not to hurl insults as it makes a debate/argument less viable. I was responding to what was said to me- did you take a look? I'm not insulting you, am I?

Chocaholic 08-25-2021 11:26 AM

You’re a piece of work my friend. I’ll leave it there.

Steve Carlton 08-25-2021 11:27 AM

Likewise. I'll consider myself to have permission to characterize you in a negative way from now on.

Read the effing article. The guy is a retired FBI agent, well sourced, and a pretty sharp thinker. His religious beliefs don’t concern me, nor do I concern myself with any fun he may poke at orthodoxy.

That’s the problem with liberals, their favorite game is shoot the ****ing messenger. What matters is the message, not who delivers it or how.

And that’s why I I’m getting to where I can’t stand this place.

Steve Carlton 08-25-2021 11:31 AM

Do you have any credible links to post? How can I have confidence in a whackjob's blog.

I am willing to look at the cogent points you find in there. Please share those.

Lol! After 30 years of bashing “the MSM” they want to complain about “bashing the messenger”. Effin hilarious :)

Click on the links yourself, ya lazy turd…

Or don’t, I don’t care. Stick your head in the sand like so many around here and make sure you hear nothing that upsets your preconceived notions.
