Name and place of shelter please 👏

If you hang around an animal shelter and offer to take one you are a hero.
Try the same thing around a women's shelter! Not good!

Finally got him. He stole one of my gloves that I left on my tractor and the wire to my temp gauge also on the tractor. Patience grasshopper!!!

Try using a piece of Slim Jim next time. Push it onto the prong. More reliable than PB.

I’m picking up a new reservoir tomorrow but how do I deter these bastages? It’s usually park the tractor in my shed. I hate using rat poison because I have Horned Owls on my property and don’t want to kill them too. Any ideas out there?

there have been a lot of escapees for PARF recently...

Seriously, how about some snap traps with peanut butter?

Correct.

I buy mine at other stores though like Walmart. They make shorter ones like this......divide into 4 pieces and use one piece per trap is what worked for me.

I also use a trail camera to see how many rats there are. I have set as many as 5 snap traps overnight and ended up getting 3 rats. One of the traps disappeared! I finally got rid of them all but the trail camera was instrumental in surveillance in order to monitor things.

I’ve been thinking about getting a trail cam because I also have a bear problem. Not too bad a problem yet as he just comes around once every two weeks to raid my garbage . Trail cam for the woodshed sounds like good advice.

I bought two of these. They work pretty good and at $65 are a decent value....

I've used the "walk the plank" with good success. 5 in one night was the best haul. Now i just leave a bucket with water and the SOBs jump in it to get a drink.

Those traps are hit and miss. Rats get smart

My cats are old, fat and lazy. They even let the ducks eat their food. So, I had to catch the rat myself.

I stumbled across a youtube of a guy in the UK shooting rats with a high quality scope on an air rifle. Head shots at about 15 - 20 meters. Looked lots of fun.

It's just reminded me of when I was about 15. A friend said Friday night bring the car, the .22, alcohol and some girls. Far out. A convoy of us drove out to a country rubbish dump and spent the night rows of six shooters in row - ready aim fire shooting rats. Next six shooters up!. Kissing etc young females, drinking huge amounts of booze. Zero gun handling safety. Suddenly a chainsaw rev's up and a free falls down.

Ah, to be young irresponsible and stupid again + the girls thrown in again. Sigh.
