All the Stations buffets were UP CHUCK buffets. ... They all tasted the same and after awhile I didn't even want to go to them unless I was tired and hungry..and didn't want to cook.

Not far out of town at the Desert National Wildlife Preserve there are some easy trips.
If you got insurance on the rental car, Mormon Well road is nice or Alamo Rd heading North is mostly smooth graded gravel up to sheep pass before it gets slightly rougher. There are some interesting old paths and signs to the east off Alamo.

Friend of mine Mom is 93..she gets in the car to drive 2 miles to the grocery store...a coupla hours later he gets a call from the NHP out in Alamo..which is about 90 miles out in the middle of bum fk nv..she going about 90 headed for a head on collision with a semi.when the NHP officer bumped her car off the road. She had a black out and couldnt remember how she got there..she was perfectly fine other wise..my friend took the keys away from her.

Nickshu did that on our second day .was not impressed drove a cayman and they had me shifting at 6500. the car was just starting to come on. It was fun but that is why think my 930 is faster.

We went to the valley of fire today. The best trail was closed because of heat. Still breath taking. Thanks for all the tips Karl.

The wild fire smoke is killing the long distance viewing. I stll can't get over beautiful spots we have been to next on the list skydiving. I have been putting it off waiting for a clear day because we leave in a few days.
