I used to keep engine compartments squeaky clean but not so much anymore with all the sensors. If you local clean the electronics and waterproof them ahead of time, it's better. Kinda like owning an old Brit car with Lucas. I used a degreaser followed by detergent and then a light spray, but concentrated in hard to reach areas. BTW, the best old time waterproofing was spray can shellac. It can be washed off with alcohol if needed. Solvents like turpentine can wash off some older engine compartment paints. Old to me is <70's. |

Edit: it’s great for cleaning greasy hands. Edit 2: wow. It’s $27 vs $5 for 32 oz! ![]() Last edited by A930Rocket; 08-09-2021 at 04:44 PM.. |

https://simplegreen.com/industrial/products/extreme-aircraft-precision-cleaner/?locale=en You can find it on Amazon. It’s the only thing I use now, don’t even buy the other stuff anymore. Beyond cleaning engine bays this also works great in a ultrasonic cleaner and since it’s not corrosive on aluminum you never have to worry about how long you let aluminum soak and having to worry about corroding and causing discoloration.
