But to your graph... What's up with SK ?

Is SK your point that there is poor correlation of vaccines stopping deaths?

Edit: also, what is this "14 day period" chosen? (cherry picked?)

Specifically ^ SK and BE have the same 29 deaths / million - Yet SK has 54% (low) vaccinated and BE is highly vaccinated with 87% vaccinated.

And PL has (higher, but still low) 62% vax'd and still has lower death/million than the higher vaccinated populations of SI, LV, EE, HU, CZ, GR & LT

I do expect that you are trying to show an inverse correlation there. Yet the data harshly disrupts such a relation/collusion.

Of course if you squint and ignore the disruptive data that you don't like, THEN you can see what you want to see.

What were the same average death rates a few years ago?
That would be a helpful comparison.
Not all countries have lengthy life-expediency or good medical system, such as Latvia, Bulgaria, and Rondônia(Brazil)

Take a grain of salt with everything.

John is correct in pointing out that raw statistics can hide or mask extenuating or canceling factors in death rates. Still, enough raw data can definitely identify a trend, such as vaccination rates to death rates. The evidence on that one is irrefutable, even if there are some outlier statistics.

Denis, I have worked in the medical device design and testing phases. I can tell you clearly that ignoring the "statistical outliers" is foolish beyond belief.

Meanwhile in Africa, one of the least vaccinated places in the world (6%), little masking, lockdowns etc., very little problems with COVID.
Go figure.

Lots of people taking HCQ prophylactically.

Probably just a coincidence.

Might be the hot weather, that could explain it.

And more COVID deaths in the US in 2021 so far than there were in 2020.

Which is surprising because I’m sure I remember in November December January a fantastic plan was promised to knock out Covid in the US.

No?

Here, read it again:

“We find evidence for an increased risk of infection by the Beta (B.1.351), Gamma (P.1), or Delta (B.1.617.2) variants compared to the Alpha (B.1.1.7) variant after vaccination. No clear differences were found between vaccines. However, the effect was larger in the first 14-59 days after complete vaccination compared to 60 days and longer. In contrast to vaccine-induced immunity, no increased risk for reinfection with Beta, Gamma or Delta variants relative to Alpha variant was found in individuals with infection-induced immunity.”

Africa is where the scary new variant is developing. I have no idea why you would use that continent as your anti-vax success story.

Africa is where the variant has been noted. Some people think that it wasn’t necessarily Africans that got it first but instead it was people who had traveled to Africa for one reason or another. Speculation is that it was people from Europe that went to Africa. Time will tell.

People note that Africa is one of the least vaccinated areas of the earth, there’s a gazillion people in close proximity, yet they have nowhere near the number of cases and deaths that they should, based on those factors.

Why isn't everyone in Wuhan dead by now?
(last year I saw internet 'reports' of unmasked nightclubs and street restaurants being wide open.)

Why did the virus affect some specific areas worse, such as Northern Italy?

Why aren't all Metropolitan cities (with the highest densities..cough unvaxxed minorities) being the epicenters of outbreak and stringent laws?
