Cat proof Mouse feeder?

Been occasionally seeing a stray cat around the house.
Really shocking since I have over 100 pounds of dog running around the yard.
But I found it digging in the garbage bags in back of my truck a few times.
Want to keep it away to help out the mice in the shed.
Decided to start putting out some food in the shed and leaving the roll up door cracked.
Foods been disappearing, but not sure if cat or mice are eating it.
Any ideas on how to cat proof a mouse food bowl?
Thinking maybe a 4 sided glass enclosure the mice can jump in but too high for cats?

They are Zapus spp. BTW - real cute and friendly jumping mice

Watching this should give you some ideas:

I was out a the beachhouse and a mouse came sauntering in and started wandering around in the kitchen. So I got him a meal which he scoffed down then went into the living room and had a sleep.

I left a note for my cousins who were coming to stay the next weekend "Please feed the mouse, his name is Viceroy." How could you not feed a mouse called Viceroy. I mentioned it to the lady next door and she said "That makes sense, I took some young mice to the petshop and I was missing one by the time I got there." So the poor little guy had been hiding in the neighbour's car for a week, then came over to my place to say hello and make himself at home.

I never saw Viceroy again. I guess a seagull got him But he was certainly a cool guy, just sauntering in and introducing himself like that.

why would you feed mice??? out in the wild???

All you'll do is attract mice
and no matter what you do to fool proof the bowl, the cat will lay in wait at the in/egress.
