What credit or debit service do you use merchant

I'm hoping within this group someone uses a credit or debit card service as a merchant AND actually likes it.

I operate a solo legal practice and just need to be able to collect fees from credit or debit.

I'm currently using PayPal Zettle but it has been a nightmare. They fail to understand that I do not sell products. They've literally asked me for invoices from my suppliers. And the offshore call centers are a trainwreck.

My buddy uses Square but the rates are over 3% and it is also part of the Twitter empire.

Thanks

Our company uses Paytrace. That's about all I can tell you though as I don't use it myself. They seem to like it.

I send invoices through Quickbooks, which is my accounting software it takes credit cards and bank transfers. Not sure what the charge is, but to me it is worth it as I don’t have to deal with cards and security directly and it goes into the “books” automatically.

I think you'll get the best service by going through your own bank, such as Union Bank or a large state chartered bank.

Arco uses Heartless Bank...I mean, Heartland Bank.

I use Celero for the pumpkin patch. Quite happy with them.

I looked up banks and payments. Seems they use 3rd party gateways.

But the overall rate is what counts. IDT I'd want to deal with PP.

Been using World Pay through my local bank. They just switched to SaferPayments. I use a Swipe Simple bluetooth reader through my phone. quick processing fair rates, PCI complience is easy.

After more than 30 years utilizing third-party merchant account services to support our (primarily NCR) point-of-sale systems, we went to Toast for both. The hardware is user friendly, the staff have handhelds, and the card processing is a lower flat rate. We've cut our charge-back percentage down substantially as well.
