Sebastian Bourdais to IMSA for 2022

Looks like Seabass is heading to IMSA full time next year and trying to run part time in Indy car . I have enjoyed watching him in Cart/IRL he is talented and has had a great career . He has a passion to win LeMans and could have a good chance with Cadillac and CGR . Thanks for the memories Sebastian .

As long as he's racing against the Wayne Taylor team, I wish him all the luck in the world.

After the crap they pulled last year against the Whelen Engineering team I root for them to put it into the wall on every turn. PS Castroneves is a CS and I'm glad he got the boot. Now if we can just do the same for "little ricky" taylor ..... Last edited by sammyg2; 09-28-2021 at 12:07 PM.. |

I hate to say it but at age 42 open wheel sprint racing becomes tougher. Ryan Hunter Reay and Will Power are each 40 and don't seem to be performing as well as in the past. RHR is leaving Andretti and I haven't heard if he has a ride elsewhere in IndyCar.

Scott Dixon is 41 but what can you say? He's just a machine. Other older drivers like Kanaan and Castroneves are simply past their prime. All that having been said, there seems to be something about the Indy 500 that doesn't discriminate against age. |

AJ Foyt Racing has become the Dick Simon Racing of the '20's.

That said.... I always like SeaBass, it seemed like he was a good driver with some race savvy and a pretty good interview. Not at Scott Dixon's level, but certainly good enough to get on the box with some frequency. It's a shame when drivers just can't let go and let it go. Now that Castroneves has won Indy with a mid-level team, I betcha a lot of ex-players are going to be shaking the bushes to find a sponsor to take them back home again to Indiana to try their luck. What's Danica up to these days? Haven't heard from her in a while. I'll bet there's a hedge fund or a mortgage company that would love to see their name in lights.

Sebastian is one of my favorite drivers. He took Coyne cars to victory lane, no small feat.

I like Sebastian, dude has talent for sure. If/when some of these IMSA teams that have been running in DPi run up against some of the bigs (Audi, Porsche etc...) from across the pond they are going to be in for a very eye opening experience...

Uh Oh I agree with Zeke!lol. I think Castroneves is a fake Eddie Haskell guy. he was an ass in Imsa at Laguna Seca last year, and he was an ass at Long Beach with his tirade against Rossi this year. Why would he try that move in warm up on Rossi? He said he was the 20 year vet and basically said Rossi should move over for him. The guys a D*ck and a tax cheat. Also , he is not a 4 time Indy champion. Sir Rodger pulled strings for Castroneves to win that year when Tracy was clearly ahead.
