shake up at Renlist?

Anyone know what happened, seems new moderators banned a few regulars. Things there are nothing like the ***** show on PARF here so it is surprising.

No idea. I just wish they would fix their app so you can view/use the "new" marketplace on it.

I started out there on the email list in 1999. I was a paid member for a couple/few years. When it mostly transitioned from email to web, I moved to the Pelican 911 Tech board.

Cayenne group up and left. The moderators must have forgotten that we are the product.

Started with JD and porschefiles. (If i am remembering correctly, straighten me out if I am wrong)

Watched it change to what it is now. Was a great group, shoot John some money to support his basement server, share ideas. now....really changed.

Again if I am remembering correctly.

Tried it and got crap right away because I suggested a vendor that was not rennlist approved. Came here.

Same here, started with John, went through the changes, was a paid member from the start.
Well, a while back one of the new Mods, clearly a c pussy liberal, gave me a lifetime ban for posting a picture of a antifa hunting permit and said he cleaned out trash. If I ever see that boxster leasing *******, I will give him my opinion.

I still use it for the newer water cooled cars... I'm mainly on the GT forum though and have never seen an issue there.

Unfortunately, its one of the only places with a reasonably good and active racing/DE forum. I certainly wish the Racing forum here on Pelican was more active. Its used to be but now is pretty dead. having an online forum to post video, discuss events and problems in PCA Club, Vintage, NASA, POC racing is very useful. and also helps to keep the numbnuts at bay... or at least alert the community to bad behavior...

Haha. I was looking into GT3s and the info on RL is extensive. But the number of pissing matches about wealth is something that really required patience to read through. And it made it painfully obvious why nobody drives these cars any longer these days. It is a group of watch collectors that branched out into Porsches.

Loved the old list serve days. I left when it went bulletin board.

Was on it when the planes were hijacked on 9-11.

I still have some Rennlist stickers.....

Aigel.....so very true... its extremely rare to find any mention, (or parts) of/for aircooled P-cars.....The 996-997 / GT3 / Cupcar influence is very strong there along with the seemingly de rigueur displays of wealth and status..... which get to be tiresome to read.....

Absolutely!

He's being flanked here by myself on the right and my good friend Steve Shanks on the left......March of 2001.....

Gave him one of the front brake calipers off my SC so he could get his SC going again.

The watch and wheel thread was priceless…..

As I have a GT3 now pelican isn’t the best place, but damn, it’s tough there.

I started RL around 2002, but when it was bought by IB and you had to pay to see off topic, I left. The turbo forum here was more active anyway at the time.

Edit. A couple years ago, my ID and password still worked. Looked at the turbo forum and not much activity.

still have some "hey wait for me racing" swag from the LeMans sponsorship funding and participated in some of the old 944Fests but haven't been over there in years.

I started off on porschephiles in 1994 when Stan Hanks was running it and then went thru the porschefans/RL transition but became disillusioned when JD started asking for money.

I floated adrift for a few years until I swapped the 3.2 into my car and found pelican in 2003 through a google search for 3.2 swap/wiring diagrams.

I have a GT3 also and never thought that forum was a bragging of wealth. I always took those threads as tongue in cheek...
