And by the (unfairly stereotypical) looks of it, an Italian one.

Changed the oil in a small engined motorscooter?

Jeff Higgins 09-30-2021 10:04 AM

Interestingly, that is pretty close to how I drain the oil from the MFI pump on my car. Instead of the turkey baster, though, I use a big syringe. Long hose just like that, snaked in the upper right rear square cover on the governor mechanism, until I can feel it go down past the fly weights. I only have to do this because I isolated the MFI pump from the engine oil supply, like the RSR's and such.

I used to use a gear oil plunger pump many years ago, but the big syringe is actually easier and cleaner.

Early version (like 15 years ago) of my 3.0, before I upped the compression and twin plugged it:

Colonoscopy prep.

Cut your little finger off?

Changed the oil in the bike you bought a while back?
You have to admit, this is a funny crowd.

A last ditch attempt to avoid the dreaded "one in a million doc" conversation?

Steve Carlton 09-30-2021 04:30 PM

^ that's the best reply I've seen here in months!

techman1 09-30-2021 04:33 PM

Oil change. Overfilled and pulled out a quart.

MRM 09-30-2021 04:59 PM

Topped up the antifreeze and changed the oil in anticipation of the long winter. Many times I watched my Dad do the same thing. The way the little balls floated when you got the antifreeze mix correct seemed like magic to my young self. Still does, actually.

Think it was Woody Allen who said death is like a colonoscopy...you go to sleep and all is peaceful. Life is like the prep...

Is "prostate exam or 5W-40 enema" a Canadian drinking game?

A good riddle. Certainly not a great riddle.

Prequel to hiding an iPad prior to a conjugal prison visit?

yellowperil 10-01-2021 07:20 AM

Whew, a lot of good replies, many of them painful I imagine, but no it was only my stupidity and lack of good math that put that last quart down the throat of my 993, BTW the worst car on the planet when it comes to oil changes IMO.

Actually I still think it was my dog, Caster, who threw that last quart of oil where she shouldn't have. PS: we got a bit of snow yesterday. Going to be a long winter.

Caster now lives at the pound.http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1633101556.jpg

oldE 10-01-2021 09:59 AM

Dude, Did you leave the Garden of the Gulf for northern NB?
A review of temps for Summerside showed only one single digit temp yesterday.
By the way, I am NOT jealous.
