Johnson and Johnson Vaccine
It appears that Canada is finally going to obtain some Johnson and Johnson vaccines and give people a third choice rather than just the two mRNA vaccines currently available.
The older viral technology with this vaccine is more appealing too many I would think? I know that statistically it is not quite as effective as the other two and that only one shot is required. Any comments, experiences or opinions good or bad with this option? Thx.

I got the J&J several months ago - have not gotten Covid (that I'm aware of), despite being in a relatively high-Covid area, and did not have any adverse effects from the shot (none whatsoever). I went with that option simply because it was one-and-done.

Had the covfefe-19. Then got the b-n-j. On top of some long haul crap i was dealing with, b-n-j brought back even more long haul crap. Fun times. Long haul chit aside, which isnt gone (eff u citizens of china) which i still deal with, yeah got the clap a couple more times since b-n-j but these times around, i wasnt brought to my kness and maintained ability to work out, drink beer, and be a rusty thorn in everyones tate.

I googled "Johnson and Johnson vs Pfizer efficacy."
I ignored the first two ads. Saw this: https://www.cdc.gov/mmwr/volumes/70/wr/mm7038e1.htm And there are a number of other articles mentioned in the search. If I were to go through them, I would focus on AMA articles, medical journals, etc. as a starting point. edit- I got the pfizer last jan/feb, and booster here recently. No problems. Our office administered J&J vaccines last spring. No problems. Just a data point from a car parts website. ![]() Last edited by LEAKYSEALS951; 10-05-2021 at 04:33 AM.. |

Yes you are right. It was initially but I am not sure about its status today?? Part of the problem I believe is that it is not recognized by the US.

Many of the people I work with have gotten covid since being vaccinated. Most had the Moderna vaccine. A few with the Pfizer vaccine but not one single person that got the J&J vaccine have come down with covid. One even lives in a house of Moderna vaccinated people and everyone in the house came down with covid except her (everyone experienced symptoms and were out for a week while she felt perfectly fine through it and consistently tested negative). Don't know that that proves anything with the efficacy of the J&J vaccine but it has convinced many people at work to try and get the J&J booster when it comes available.
