Exclamation Aspirin! Freaking Baby Aspirin... Confounding Covid

George Washington University study supports Israeli study.

Quote:
“As we learned about the connection between blood clots and COVID-19, we knew that aspirin – used to prevent stroke and heart attack – could be important for COVID-19 patients,” said Dr. Jonathan Chow of the study team. “Our research found an association between low-dose aspirin and decreased severity of COVID-19 and death.”

Darn, they beat us. New Zealand were running preliminary trials of a blood thinning product - commonly known as pinot noir.

I take a 61mg baby aspirin everyday as prescribed to lower stroke risk so if true, it's great news!

Chewing one baby aspirin a day is probably a good idea for just about every geezer.

I take 81 mg a day (bet you do too). Not a bad plan IMHO...if no bleeding problems and your stomach can handle it..

I was doing it. But I started having nosebleeds. So I switched to Ivermectin and everything's been great.

Bill, I have been involved in that trial quite comprehensively since the start of our most recent lockdown. I have concerns to be honest, as my placebo has been a quality NZ Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc.

My doc changed his tune. He used to recommend a daily aspirin and now says not because there is more chance of stomach issues than a heart attack. Now I take occasional aspirin when I really exert myself.

Yes, many doctors stopped prescribing daily doses unless you were at risk (family history or other factor). ..although a low-dose (81 mg) baby aspirin is really not a lot. I also carry some with me on my key chain (hearing aid battery case)...as I don't go anywhere without keys. If you believe you might be having a heart attack, you are to chew 2 immediately (if on the aspirin daily regimen), but if you are not, chew 4. Supposedly a much higher chance of survival.

Of course CNN put out an article today advising against taking the daily dose (funny coincidence).

81 mg thins the blood just enough and should not be upsetting to the stomach..

I have been using for about 26 years. Along wt Vitamin E..about 1200 Iu;s (a 20+ year long Scandavian study showed apx a 35% decrease in Prostrate Cancer if someone has been using it for 10 years or more.) The US trial showed no benefit after a 7 year study.

the other thing is the Mad Cow joke...cattle are processed before it can develope..and if the Bone meal etc is used as feed or fertilizer the feed and or plant can cause Mad Cow..So there is a lot the THEY are not telling you. Cooking heat does not destroy the agent that causes Mad Cow.

Why do you think the Japanese banned American beef for so long???
