The Silo - Apple Tv (worth the sub alone) - stay "for all mankind"

Excellent dystopian futureof humanity living in a silo underground, society stratified by levels, is the world outside truly hostile to human life ? Very good story, execution, and they're not afraid to kill their famous stars at a crazy pace... I liked it so much I bought and read book 1 this w/e !

Even though I have had Amazon prime for years, I had used the TV part, it is so cool watching the 1st season of the Fall Guy, other seasons, not so much

Beef on Netflix is a good watch. A very odd black comedy with great twists and turns that makes me think of the style in White Lotus. I looked at the trailer, but didn't post it here as it gives away the good surprises. Very entertaining!

Bodyguard on Netflix is a series from 2018- one season. Kind of a British deep state conspiracy with an intense, flawed, and effective bodyguard of the Home Secretary. Really good!

Just finished watching Mother on Netflix. Good action thriller starring
Jennifer Lopez.

I started watching season 2 of White Lotus. After seeing 3 episodes, I'm disappointed. Season 1 was awesome.

Mrs Davis on Peacock.

The assassin from Killing Eve, playing a nun in search of the Holy Grail to destroy an AI that has taken over the world.

Lots of foul language, lots of blood spurting from severed limbs. Kind of has that very extreme Preacher feel to it. Most of you old farts won't like it ;)

Sounds wonderful.

The Diplomat on Netflix is outstanding. Keri Russell is the protagonist.

+1 on Mrs. Maisel. I almost didn't get back into it because of the long break between seasons due to Covid.

Steve Carlton 06-05-2023 08:26 AM

Maisel, Schmaisel.

Actually, I need to return to it.

Also started Fubar last night. I like it for a Sunday night. Relaxing. No thought-provoking storylines. Good action scenes in between some funny banter.

Watched the first two episodes of Bad Sisters on Apple TV last night. Looks interesting, too early to say.

It's not bad, The Governator is a bit too much of a caricature of himself for laughs, but that's alright.

The young female CIA operative gets a bit more interesting in episode 3...if you're into young female CIA operatives.
