Also started Fubar last night. I like it for a Sunday night. Relaxing. No thought-provoking storylines. Good action scenes in between some funny banter.

It's not bad, The Governator is a bit too much of a caricature of himself for laughs, but that's alright.

The young female CIA operative gets a bit more interesting in episode 3...if you're into young female CIA operatives.

Saw episode 1 last night. Will watch again. Also been watching Barry. Not the greatest but it sort of sucks you in enough to keep watching.

The assassin from Killing Eve, playing a nun in search of the Holy Grail to destroy an AI that has taken over the world.

Lots of foul language, lots of blood spurting from severed limbs. Kind of has that very extreme Preacher feel to it. Most of you old farts won't like it ;)

Nope, not the assassin from killing eve. One of the wrestlers from G.L.O.W

Campy show with moral undertones

What? Why did I not know I was wrong? I've watched every episode of GLOW and zero episodes of Killing Eve, I should have known better.

Also, the spurting blood level dropped off significantly after episode 1.

I was thinking about an episode of Men of a Certain Age called "Mind's Eye," which was my favorite one because it had some great car dealership humor in it. It was a great series that I would highly recommend- it only ran for two seasons starting in 2009. I came across this article that discussed its critical acclaim and cancellation due to insufficient ratings:

It's too bad some excellent shows couldn't get the traction they needed to be viable. One of my all-time favorite series was Carnivale, which was supposed to be 5 seasons, but only lasted 2. The original Star Trek should have lasted more than 3 seasons. Many more.

The one that plays his daughter Emma is Monica Barbaro, who played Phoenix in Top Gun: Maverick. I'm starting to like her. The show's not there yet, but it's enjoyable.

Are you referring to Tina? I think Roo is pretty funny in there, too.

Extraction 2 opens on Netflix this Friday. I thought the first one was excellent.

Really enjoying The Diplomat on Netflix.

Based on a True Story. First episode was not that great but it gets better.

I had high hopes for Reservation Dogs but so far a bit sketchy

I record 100-Foot Wave. The last segment of S2 E3 is what dreams are made of.

Schitts Creek. An absurd comedy. First episode, not so great but it gets better. 22 minute episodes so it goes pretty quick.

I like Idis Elba, so I watched the Luther movie, which was intense. Now I’m watching the series. Nothing I’ve seen before is anything like this!

Did you watch the previous 3 seasons of Jack Ryan? Curious.

I have, and enjoyed them. This one has been a slog, to the point I watch about a half episode per sitting. I'm halfway thru ep 3 right now. The plot is kinda/sorta interesting, but there are still issues:

The Malaysian guy's story makes no sense. He and his wife seem to be desperate to get their young daughter out of the country for no clear reason. She seems healthy, normal, and intelligent.

Greer's family plotline is boring. This isn't a "Cat's in the Cradle" situation. His son is old enough to understand that his dad being Deputy Director of the CIA means he can't drop everything to attend a ball game. I hate the trope that teens can't process the idea they aren't the center of the universe.

I did a hard eyeroll at the death of Miller, the former Director. The son of a gun died in front of his encrypted laptop and with his dying breath reached for the bible prominently positioned on his desk. No one thought that was a clue?

I'm through E4 now, and it seems slower to get up to speed than it did in previous seasons. It did pick up about midway in this episode, so I have hopes it'll get better.

The usual characters are enjoyable to watch. I like Michael Pena as Chavez.

You put my thoughts Into words. I just can’t get into this season - it seems all over the place and slow at the same time. Normally I’d be complaining it’s too cowboy and not clever enough - this time it seems too clever by half. Enjoyed Silo way more than this… and tonight, not tv but movies: mission impossible (very good)

We've been watching "Heartland" on Netflix. It's a Canadian series about a ranch in Alberta. The story is kind of soap opera-ish, but there is lots of eye candy - cute girls, pretty horses, beautiful scenery in the back ground.

I we just finished binging another Canadian series, "Body of Proof." It's a cop story with a little eye candy and an engaging story line.

I occasionally watch, "Lost Car Rescue" which is a "reality" show about a cute girl pilot and a crew of guys who comb western Canada looking for old cars to drag out of the weeds and sell. The story line and dialog are stupid, one of the guys is a real jackass, the girl is cute, and some interesting old cars show up which makes it better than 90% of the crap on Netflix (anyone up for season 100 of Outlander?).
