If I remember correctly, didn't Joe Dirt find a meteorite just like this one.

The Chicxulub asteroid was going 20 kilometers per second when it struck the earth scientists estimate.

Subject meteorite must have been really slow and it didn't burn the sheets or nuttin'.

I'm leaning towards WPOZZZ's thoughts.
