Good for you Mike.
I must be boring... At 56 I've never had a near death experience. - I've been in dangerous situations were I feared for my life but I got out unscathed. (ex Army) |
Fred, I have been close to a similar-ish situation when my sister (35 at the time) suffered a massive stroke back in 2008. It was a long road and it really really sucked, but she is back. I think you are 100% on the right track to follow the advice of the doctors even if that means contradicting or upsetting your relatives, what you're describing sounds maddening and I'm sorry you have to deal with that stress and noise on top of everything else. God bless you and your family.

Onward and Upward!!! You are doing a great thing Fred and you and your wife will pull through this okay. She has her sense of humor and that is a great thing, they say, laughter is the best medicine after all and I believe that. Keep her laughing and smiling, it will do wonders and keep her spirit up and yours as well. I totally agree with the others that the family members have good intentions but only do what the Doctors say to do, they know best in this case. Dude, I wish you the best, keep your spirits up, you can do this, you will do this, and most of all keep your faith. My Mother always tells me "Onward and Upward"!!!! Praying for your strength and that your wife has a complete and healthy recovery.
